I got a lot of sh*t from the blue avatars and doomers for saying the debate was a wash. Sure, Fetterman sounded awkward, unrehearsed, and like he still hadn't recovered, but Oz just came off like a smarmy asshole.

Polished, but sleazy.  I watched the debate as well.

Fetterman is a loose cannon and I did not vote for him in the primary, but I did in the general election.  I guess I was voting against Oz more than I was voting for Fetterman.

Love the thread title.  Glad Oz had the decency to concede gracefully.

It's pretty funny that our collective impression of Dr. Oz when the race started was "another TV snake oil hack." Then over the course of the race details about him emerged like a leaking faucet to slowly reveal he's a demonically vile person on par with Trump.

This was one of the most satisfying victories on Tuesday night. The only one that might be more enthralling might be if Hobbs defeats Lake.

My expectations were so low on election night all I was willing to settle for, at the barest minimum ended up just being me wanting to see Oz and Walker lose. So far I got one of those and the other I will just need to be patient for. If I were a Pennsylvanian and Oz became my Senator, I would be so embarrassed. Thankfully, you all clearly know better.

Come on back to Bergen County, Dr. Oz! We missed you?

Does the fact that Oz still did much better than Mastriano mean there's a lot of voters who don't care if a candidate denies the 2020 election as long as they weren't at the 1/6 rally? Or is there something else I'm missing?

I certainly don’t think it can be said that Oz was a 2020 denialist.

He didn't have to be one to get Trump's endorsement? My apologies if he's not one.

Mastriano was basically the guy who was your crazy, probably racist uncle that shouts conspiracy theories at Thanksgiving. Oz, while problematic in other ways, was not that.

and shouldn't be forgotten that the GOP hit Fetterman with like $100M worth of advertising. GOP didn't help Mastriano one cent.

His campaign talked out of both sides of its mouth about this issue.

Here he is saying "we cannot move on" from the 2020 election.

And here's his campaign saying they accept the results of the 2020 election but insinuating that PA's current laws are responsible.

One of the more curious things Oz did during the final stretch was think that .... John Kennedy of Louisiana was somehow a good surrogate for him in .... Bucks County

Eh, or their polling was off. There's no way the final Trump rally was worth 5.5 pts for Fetterman. I honestly don't even think it had that much impact; it's not something that every PA-ian found out about , even.

Even apart from non-response issues, outliers inevitably happen.  That was probably one of them.

Do we all have that uncle?!
