Honestly, this is so hopeless of a take, with such high promised consequences, it's practically unfair to hold SnowLabrador to it. A voluntarily quasi-permban is too severe of a punishment for calling elections poorly.

Well SnowLabrador made that decision.

He chose to post that. But that's immaterial to the substance of why this is an unfair expectation.
The correct thing, imo, is to use it to mock baseless doomerism!

I addressed this in my recent AMA, but I was making fun of Woodbury when I said this. Perhaps I should have added an "/s" to make it clear I was being sarcastic, but the fact remains that I never intended to follow through on that "pledge."

Anyway, good for Fetterman. When NYT froze its forecast they thought he'd win by around four percentage points.

Don't get too excited, Johnson's still favored in Wisconsin.

I had said since the beginning that this was going to flip even if the sunbelt collapsed for Dems too. Candidate quality still matters, and Fetterman before his unfortunate health situation was pretty much perfect. Oz was about as bad as it gets, and yet somehow wasn't the worst this cycle (cough cough, Walker cough)

At least he's man enough to concede. Should be the norm, though it isn't anymore these days.

Shapiro is unlikely to receive such a call, though.

Yeah, this one is just extra special. The way Oz went after Fetterman for his stroke, and his overall disgusting and slimey demeanor just makes this extra special. Oz really thought he could waltz over from New Jersey and buy this seat, and we said no. So f'ing proud of my state today.

Also, for all the people who said all Fetterman did was "muh new jersey" and "muh crudite"... from the exit poll:

Oz lived in state long enough to represent it effectively?
42% yes, 56% no

It was clear the carpetbagger thing was one of the biggest albatross's around his neck

I got a lot of sh*t from the blue avatars and doomers for saying the debate was a wash. Sure, Fetterman sounded awkward, unrehearsed, and like he still hadn't recovered, but Oz just came off like a smarmy asshole. Unlike Trump, he had a clear record as a con artist, and instead of being confident and addressing his positions, attacked Fetterman and mocked his stroke on the debate stage.

Really looking like I'm right.

It seems like he'll win by close to 4 points when everything is counted, so not particularly close.

Maybe this will convince 538 not to turn their polling average into a complete right-wing cesspool before election day next time. Obviously RCP will continue the grift.

I have to laugh because i think I posted it in this thread a day or two before the election - the nonpartisan average had Fetterman +3. Partisan was Oz +3. Look which side was unsurprisingly right!
