I wish there were a way to open a front in Crimea. That would really get Putin's attention. The insane killing in the Donbas over a few acres here and there does not seem to bother him much.

But seriously you guys Russia can sustain these loses and is totally winning the war because they took some inches of dirt over a 7 month battle outside a small city that prewar had a pop of 60k people

Krasna Hora has fallen to the Russians - North of Bakhmut. AFU has been bringing more and more reinforcements to Bakhmut, sign that they're not giving up the city yet.

What’s the best source for objective information on the military front? Everything is either NATO propaganda or tankie disinfo on Twitter, really curious where this actually stands.

This is story about Russians who joined the Ukrainian equivalent of the French foreign legion. Many of them already lived in Ukraine (some in Bakmut), and decided to defend it from the invaders, fellow countrymen or no.

Others crossed into Ukraine to join.

“We haven’t come here to prove anything,” said one soldier with the call sign Zaza. “We’ve come here to help Ukraine achieve the full withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukrainian territory and the future de-Putinization of Russia.”

And then there is old man Caesar, a most interesting chap.

“My task is not just to protect the people of Ukraine,” said Caesar, 50. “If I remain alive after this phase and all Ukrainian territory is liberated, I will absolutely continue fighting, with a weapon in my hand, to overthrow this Kremlin regime.”

Caesar, who moved his wife and four children to Ukraine over the summer, said he did not believe he was fighting against fellow Russians, but “scoundrels and murderers” who have no nationality.

“I’m sitting before you, an example of a Russian man, and an example of a man that Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky wrote about,” he said. “That’s the kind of man I am. Not them. They aren’t Russian.”

Ukrainian forces might have overstayed in Paraskoviivka. After Krasna Hora & The M03 highway cut it's only road is under fire control. They are under semi-encirclement right now. Paraskoviivka will probably be under Wagner control in less than 24 hours.
