DDHQ has moved this race from Lean R to Toss-Up.

I'll note that they have a very wide definition of Toss-up; IIRC it's anything under a 65% favorite.

It's a shame so many users keep going with this Lean R rating and we have won OH 1992/1996)2006/2008/12/18 this isn't 2004 anymore and Nadar took 3 percent from Gore if you add 3 percent to Gore margin in OH then Gore would of won OH

NH, NV, IA, NM, OH, FL should all went to Gore without Nadar and without Johnson or Stein MI, PA and WI would of went to Hillary , that's how D OH is and Carter won OH in 1976, and it's 12 percent bl and they aren't the conservative blks in the South they are liberal blks in Cleveland 6

Vance is going to win this by 11 and we're going to have to pretend to be surprised.

Walker controversy is and Trump Espionage is hurting Rs up and down the ballot Walker abused his wife and son and paid for a woman to have an abortion but they have abortion pills now

It's $27,000 that dates back all the way to 2007.

Vance wants to take away healthcare from 10 year old rape victims. Why should anyone trust him to handle the opioid crisis?

Also the 2017 Tax cuts that was supported by Johnson and all Rs gave the richest Americans tax cuts on capital gains and inheritance taxes that poor people don't even pay we pay pay roll taxes, that only benefits most rich people

Warren wants a millionaire tax on inheritance taxes to rise to pay for 3T on social programs spending for the rest of decade

Ryan winning is of course a massive long shot. But normal people do not want a hedge fund creep like JD Vance representing them, the R next to his name may get him over the line - but it’s hardly surprising he’s struggling. Ryan will also completely destroy him during the debates (not because he’s great, because Vance is terrible) which may or may not matter.

Every election, it feels like the same story. X Candidate took donations from controversial industry. I don't think they have much of an effect since voters don't really care where politicians get their donations from anymore.  Not that I think Ryan is going to win, mind you.

I think the worst example of this was when Hillary Clinton got bad press for taking money from Big Oil even though most of it was through individual employees donating. Like, what the heck was she supposed to do about that?

According to an AP article I just saw, but I didn’t do any actual digging.

It won't matter because Early voting has already started and most voters have already made up their minds, the bigger issue is Walker that's the October surprise trying to kill his ex wife

I like how they filmed it as if it were Modern Family.

It's all too fitting that Mr. Yogic Flyers would admire decade-old Awkward New Sincerity-core, but of course–

Modern Family never existed. Breaking Bad never existed. The Office never existed. Game of Thrones never existed. The Walking Dead never existed.

Tim Ryan is going to win and his performance against a merely bad but not garbage tier candidate is going to be more impressive than Fetterman.

We should be talking about this race a lot more, but we aren't because people are only concerned about seat #50, when in reality, the minimum expectation should be 51-52 (GA and PA are strong D, AZ pretty strong Lean), or an outside shot at 53. It's clear 50 is not enough to matter, and it's difficult to see gains in 2024. They're going to need that cushion now - win or lose in 24.
