I wonder how Ryan does is Kaptur's district. It was Trump + 2.9 in 2020 but tends to be a bit bluer down ballot. Could a strong performance there on his part help Kaptur?

It'll also be interesting to see how he does in Dayton based OH-10, a Trump + 3.5 district.

i think he should win all 4 Biden districts: OH-03 and OH-11 are safe no matter what, no way he loses OH-01 at this point, and considering OH-13 is the territory he used to represent, he should carry it even if narrowly.

Outside of the districts above, I doubt Ryan wins any others; maybe a small window in OH-07 or OH-15.

How is this thread 73 pages? I don't get it. Vance is very polarizing, but this is Ohio, in a Dem midterm, and Ryan is no Manchin/Brown.

Even though this is Ohio, and polling maybe inaccurate, I think this will still be a close race with Tim Ryan having a good chance to pull it out.

I’d rather have a 51-49 R Senate with Ryan then a 50-50 without Ryan. I think he has potential to have a lock on that Senate seat if he wins it. Appealing to conservatives by playing ball with R’s like Manchin but not so much so it irritates the Dems. However the problem is actually getting into the seat.

I can see a Ryan win having a Peltola effect. However he won’t get in

The left keeps having false hope with Ohio and Florida.

This is the "ISIS fighters crossing the border from Mexico to harm Americans" of 2022.
(Cotton used that in an ad in 2014)

It was a very good year for Democrats and Sherrod Brown was an incumbent. The Vance v. Ryan race would be a toss up if only one of those was true but neither are.

Ryan lost by 7 points. That doesn't bode well for Sherrod Brown in 2024.

Of course you are already spinning a historic midterm result into doom for 2024.

JD Vance won and Ryan lost by high single digits. That's what happens when you vote with Biden and Nancy Pelosi 100 % of the time, call police officers new Jim Crow, support eliminating cash bail and “absolutely” consider banning fracking on federal lands in a state that voted Trump by 8 percentage points. When pretending to be a moderate, Ryan was like a wolf disguising as a sheep.
