I don’t think a 2nd degree charge was appropriate- I doubt he intentionally killed Floyd- but I understand that the jury was under immense pressure, and I’m glad to see Chauvin held accountable.

I’m sure all business owners access America are breathing a sigh of relief.

The charge is 2nd degree unintentional murder. Specifically, that he killed him while committing assault with the intent to commit assault.

Second-degree murder doesn't require an intent to kill; it just requires an intent to commit a felony.
