Could this be like Biden where if he just speaks sane he gets a win? The media is biased towards the Dems so probably not.

Warnock finally pulls ahead in 538's Deluxe model at 51%.  He's at 57% in the Classic model.

If control of the Senate hangs on a runoff in this seat again (which is very possible), how seriously do both sides take this race?

I shudder to think of the deluge of ads, calls, texts, and mailers we'll be getting.

It's also very possible that the garbage GOP nominee in this race decisively loses, so who knows.

He actually sounds somewhat sane here, and not just random words flowing from his mouth.

I wonder if he’ll actually debate though. After all, his acceptance here could be the random thing he’s saying.

Quote
‘There’s Never Been Anybody Like Him in the United States Senate’

DALTON, Ga. — In the middle of a community center gym in the northwest corner of this state that is the epicenter of American politics stood the Reverend Senator Raphael Warnock. Flanked by red, white and blue balloons, the Democrat campaigning here in staunchly Republican terrain looked out at a small but supportive crowd of Black and white faces. Wearing wire-rim glasses and a trim navy suit, his bald head not quite as shiny as his gleaming brown shoes, the preacher politician made his case for re-election with a sermon on the transcendent power of pavement.

“Infrastructure is spiritual,” he said.

“I believe in this so much that something really unusual happened … something that I didn’t see coming,” he said. “The Warnock-Cruz amendment.”

The people in the bleachers seemed confused. But he had their attention.

This genuinely made me gain a whole new level of respect for Senator Warnock, a great asset to our party by any standard.

The GOP's tank is engine on attacks on Warnock. Their best right now is now "he means well, but it's not working"

I just saw an ad during the Braves game thanking Warnock for being a "committed progressive Joe Biden can count on".  It was rather over the top.  The ad was run by "OAC Action" with a URL of www.oacaction.org, which redirects to https://oacaction.org/.  That site has a video of the ad if you want to see it.

The site also says it's from "Our American Century Action", which according to OpenSecrets is a single-candidate Super PAC in support of Donald Trump.

Are we sure this ad won't excite/rally the Republican base?

Is this another Lincoln Project Group? People who are now more or less Democrat but still call themselves republican? Never heard of these people.

If I were the Warnock campaign I would publicly and loudly disavow this ad so that it gets more airtime/publicity and to further burnish the Reverend’s nice-guy image. It’d be a win-win.

"If they can do this to a former President they can do it to any one of us"

well yes, if i also stole 15 boxes (at the very least) of confidential classified documents, then I would fully expect the FBI to come for me

(and it's highly doubtful that's even all the reason why they raided him)

Oz is in a very close second. He has a miracle cure on hand that will put him in the polling lead any day now! He's waiting to prescribe it to himself at the right time, for maximum effectiveness!

Anyway, all this is a joke. I was sarcastically calling Walker ultra-competent.
I guess we were bound to have one really bad swing-seat campaign this year on either side...Walker is just doing well.
