Macron for all his neo Gaullist fantasies has sent many heavy war materiel including a third of CAESAR spgs France operates. He is serious about wanting Ukraine to win despite the ridiculous amount of calls to Putin. Scholz on the other hand is all hot air. None of the Gepard or PzH 2000 Germany has promised since March has arrived yet.

From an obviously biased source, but there hasn't been much news circulating about the fight over the T1302 highway in the past week. Control over the road is very important in order for Ukraine to continue fighting in Lysychansk and Severodonetsk, so I felt this was worth sharing:


"Lviv paratroopers of the 80th [Separate Air Assault Brigade] eliminated in battle about 50 occupiers from the "elite" 76th [Guards Air Assault] Pskov division, who wanted to cut one strategically important route in eastern Ukraine. [This is almost certainly the Bakhmut - Lysychansk Highway.] The battle lasted about 14 hours with the use of NLAW ATGM."

Russia ending up with less territory than it had pre-invasion would be enough. The Pyrrhic victory it is approaching might be enough in itself.

Strange development happening.. as mention above, Ukrainians destroyed the bridge when retreating south of Sviatohirsk.. apparently the Russians for once in their lifetimes actually managed to do a river crossing (most likely a pontoon bridge?) in the Sieversky donets:
