Yes, we need a boring technocrat rn you simpleton.

If I had to split the motivating drive to vote numerically, I voted against Trump 99% and voted for Biden 1%.

California keeps tightening with each update.  Biden is likely to end up with a lower CA margin of victory than Hillary when all is said and done.  WA/OR and NJ/MD are also tightening with late ballots.  I wouldn't expect the NPV margin to balloon like it did in 2016.  The NY absentees could be near unanimous Biden, but that could be last big PV swing he will get.

Not every set of uncounted votes are equal lol.

I mean, what can 2 months of extra sanctions do that hasn't already been done, except for maybe just pissing off the EU more? It's not like they weren't gonna attack literally anything the Biden administration tries to do in this realm as "too conciliatory" anyway.

Friendly reminder that the electoral college is still the dumbest system around for electing a President.

You speak facts. Weird how so many Americans care more about corn than people.

California shouldn't dictate to the other 49 states who gets to be president.

What are you talking about? California is not a monolith. 4.7 million Californians (and counting) voted for Trump lmao.

And how is what you're saying different from having swing states control who wins the election anyway?

Or or or, maybe every individual American's vote should just count no more or no less than every other individual American's vote in our country, unless you believe that Wyomingites are approximately 3.6 times more American than Californians (which just isn't how anything works).

The population of New York and California combined is 60 million, give or take. The population of the US is around 330 million.

That equals out to less than 20% of the total population, and nowhere near all of them are going to uniformly vote for one candidate.

This argument is still made with an EC mindset. California isn't dictating to anyone. Millions of PEOPLE in California (as well as New York, Illinois, Texas, West Virginia, Iowa, Alabama, etc.) are VOTING for their candidate. The abolition of the EC would make these borders irrelevant mostly when it comes to elections.

And California shouldn't get less money back in tax dollars that Kentucky or these other poor states.

We are up past 149.3 million votes on the cook popular vote tracker and Biden has not even reached 3% in the popular vote, Nate Silver tweeted out recently maybe he could win by 5 or even 6 points with late ballots, I doubt it, in California Biden's margin has gone from +33 to +31.3 as more votes have come in, New York should give a big boost to Biden but since election day Biden has only been winning votes by 16.5%, if we assume turnout of 160 million, a 16.5% advantage among the remaining vote would get Biden to a 3.9% margin in the popular vote.

Only getting 4% of more of the popular vote than the next nearest candidate and a decisive majority is sure a disaster out rejection of Biden.

tbh imo I think Trump can get over 320 EVs. He might even flip MN after the recount imo imo

Trump can win Philadelphia county, after they throw out all the fraud mail ballots and do a recount imo imo. Trump probably gets 58% statewide imo
