Seems like Rs did have a turnout advantage at least relatively.

Gosh…knew there was something we were supposed to do today.

I mean, it was raining. It’s bad luck to vote when it’s raining.

I don't agree with that conclusion, But i can understand why.

Democrats have to get out of Yale and Harvard and start spending time in " Small Town " America. Plain and Simple.

Yes, because most Democrats are uber-woke Ivy League graduates. As the election results in Minneapolis — one of the most liberal cities in America — aptly demonstrate /s. Nah, hombre, the expiration date on your FNC/DD&D take is ~2005. We could embark on a massive sociological research project dedicated to understanding why rural white Christians support a racist, authoritarian party determined to overturn democratic elections and institute permanent minority rule. But what's the point?! We're selling Medicare expansion and family medical leave (assuming Manchin actually gives a s**+ about his voters), not Tucker Carlson Lite. If mee-maw and pee-paw still prefer the latter, then F-'em — we have nothing to offer, and we can't save them from themselves.

This isn't gonna transcend to 2922 all that much because MI, PA abd WI still gives us 265 votes and AZ, GA and VA gives us 27o, it's been a 3o4 map plus OH and NC Senate are still winnable

DeWine, Reynolds and DeSantis have 57 percent Approvals but Covid is depressing the vote and it wasn't supposed to last the 1.9 R was to crush the virus

Warned you guys months ago. Northams black face scandal depressed AA turnout

Youngkin...who sounds eerily like YOUNG KIM might keep it close by depressing AA turn out by reminding voters of Ralph Northams blackface scandal

The 3 biggest races of November 2nd 2021 were Virginia, New Jersey and New York City.
The democrats won 2 of them.
The democrats don't need to cry.

Oh yeah, that's true, and highly relevant! /s. Nevermind GWB, Mitt Romney, Ted Cruz, Tom Cotton, or Josh Hawley. Hasn't the "centrist" wing of the Democratic Party embarrassed itself enough already? Do we really need to climb into the (hypocritical) anti-intellectual gutter with mee-maw and pee-paw?

I would put the PA court races miles above NYC, tbh.  (Obviously biased by residence here, but we had a once in an almost decade opportunity to build an unshakeable majority on the Supreme Court, and get close to flipping the Superior.  Terms are 10 years with only a retention hurdle to clear to keep your seat)

Lol, this is the official Council of DC Twitter:

To be fair it retrocession only happened because Alexandrians were worried that slavery would be abolished in DC. So I agree, retrocession was a moral wrong that has long needed to be corrected! Tongue

Giving Arlington and Alexandria back to DC sounds like a great way to make Virginia a tossup state again

It's better than arguing that this is certifiable proof that there will be an R wave in 2022.

Maybe Republicans would take that in exchange for making DC a state?

Small Business owners, Police officers, skilled trade workers, feel left out by the corporate democrats. They are the ones directly dealing with the inflation, the high business taxes ( while Walmart gets away with paying nothing ),

These are also the same group of people that a certain individual in Europe won over in 1933. Because they are the ones most liekly to be affected by economic and social change.

Odd comment to make. That group probably voted for Roosevelt in 1932 as well.

Asians are a relatively insignificant group as far as percentage of electorate unless you're on the West Coast or Hawaii. So how is knowing what the Asian vote in Virginia did even statistically measurable to a high degree of accuracy in an exit poll?

Everyone is freaking out over high turnout relative to 2017 and 2020 when neither of those were competitive races and this clearly is.

false. This is a close race. Not a competitive race. The difference is that in a competitive race, the winner is in doubt. The winner is not in doubt in this race.

Except it is.

It's really not though...

I think you are missing the forest for the trees.
