Nebraska spoils Iowa's chances at clinching the Big Ten West, beating the Hawkeyes 24-17.

With Iowa's loss, tomorrow's action among the remaining teams in the division to see who among, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota and Purdue will win the division.

Purdue has the Old Oaken Bucket rivalry game with Indiana in Bloomington, Illinois has their rivalry game with Northwestern in Evanston, and Minnesota and Wisconsin play each other for Paul Bunyan's Axe, meaning the division will like come down to a tie-breaker between Purdue/Illinois and the Minnesota/Wisconsin winner (unless Purdue/Illinois both lose).

Illinois, Iowa, and Purdue are still alive for the berth in the championship game.  The Minnesota/Wisconsin winner, although it can share the division title, will lose the game berth on tiebreakers in all scenarios.  There's a complete explanation here.  Briefly:

Purdue: in with a win over Indiana.

Illinois: in with a win over Northwestern and a Purdue loss.

Iowa: in if both Purdue and Illinois lose.

It's not really an upset, but James Madison is dominating Coastal Carolina in Harrisonburg right now. The Dukes lead 20-7 as we approach halftime.

Jim Harbaugh on his way to his second straight upset victory over the Buckeyes, as #3 Michigan leads #2 Ohio State 24-20 early in the fourth quarter.

After a game that was anything but easy on my stress levels, FSU walks away with a 9-3 season. I believe pretty early in the thread I put my optimistic outcome for the year at 8-4 with some rivalry wins. FSU surpassed that and was competitive in all three losses; 10-2 was very very possible. If Clemson makes it to the playoff FSU probably gets the Orange Bowl. Its been a good year of college football.

Barring some extreme chaos, Clemson isn't making the playoff.

In fact, I'd be willing to bet that the committee puts a two loss Alabama or one loss Ohio State/Michigan (that didn't win the Big Ten) in ahead of an ACC Champion one loss Clemson.
?? Bizarre take, even by your standards — Committee isn't going to keep out a one-loss P5 conference champ for a team that couldn't win their division.

This is now a moot question. Smiley

It is always a delight to see Ohio State get pantsed, especially by Michigan. And now they're running up the score! They're trying to make the committee think twice about letting a 1 loss OSU into the playoff.

Damn, they're going to jump us for the Citrus Bowl.

Now it's ... Mississippi State vs. Notre Dame in the Gator Bowl?

The committee has little choice to make Michigan #1 next week. Georgia can always leap them with a good win over LSU, but the risk of Ohio State finishing #3 (if both TCU/USC lose) is too high leading to an immediate rematch. With Clemson going down, the Tide's path to #4 looks good still!

Thank you Michigan! So happy I picked a 20 point game in the wrong direction!!

Ryan Day is about to get executed at midfield for that loss.

IF they have to dip down into 2-loss teams, Tennessee should be in front of LSU and Alabama in line, given their head-to-head wins over both.

Not without Hooker, they shouldn't be. Nor will they be. Hopefully Vanderbilt helps validate that today.

Just like 2014 Ohio State without JT Barrett?

Not quite an upset, but Kentucky currently leads #25 Louisville midway through the second quarter, 13-0.

Did 2014 get blown out by a mediocre South Carolina team?

Cardale Jones beat the #11 team 59 to zero in a primetime championship game, and the team had an 11 game win streak. Even if Tennessee's final three drives were adequate, they have defensive liabilities that those Buckeyes did not have.

The Road win over LSU was impressive. The walkoff home win following a good old home cooking flag does not indicate a better team when comparing head to head with the Tide.

Frankly, 2 top 10 road losses by a combined 4 points (and 3 top 25 wins, 2 on the road) is more consistent than Ohio State's mid resume featuring a 22 point home loss to #2 and two top 15 wins (1 home). But I probably don't need to tell you that Mississippi State would finish 3rd in the Big Ten this year.
