WEEK 12 RESULTS

ExtremeRepublican took first with 19-5, two games ahead of Harry.  There were only 24 games this week because the Coastal Carolina-Virginia game was canceled.  Full results:

19 ExtremeRepublican
17 Harry
16 Dereich, GeorgiaModerate, Illiniwek
15 NY Express
14 Donerail, JGibson, Terry
13 Grumps, ultraviolet

There were three unanimous picks, all correct:

Kansas State-West Virginia
Texas-Kansas
LSU-UAB

There were also three games with a single dissenter:

Liberty-Virginia Tech (dissenter was right)
Oregon State-Arizona State
Texas State-Arkansas State

Illiniwek remains in the overall lead by two games, but there's now a 3-way tie for third place.  Year to date (299 games):

196 Illiniwek
194 GeorgiaModerate
191 Dereich, ExtremeRepublican, Harry
187 Donerail
185 Terry
174 Grumps
170 JGibson
166 NY Express
144 ultraviolet
117 CalamityBlue
86 Thomas D

Auburn would be the most likely one, unless Nick Saban decides to retire for some reason.

It just costs too much money for Texas A&M to fire Jimbo. They're stuck with him.

Ole Miss (I would pick Mississippi State here, given Ole Miss has already been eliminated from SEC West contention, but finishing ahead of Alabama might still get them a Cotton Bowl bid against the Tulane/Cincinnati winner).

Cincnnati (Luke Fickell just has too good of a track record in big games like this to say that the Bearcats will lose this one)
Texas
Eastern Michigan
Arizona
North Carolina (Well, this was more interesting a week ago)
Arkansas
Iowa
UCLA
Florida State (Florida might regret firing Dan Mullen now?)
Virginia

Ohio State (winner goes to the playoff. Depending on what happens to TCU and USC, so does the loser?)
West Virginia (What has happened to football in the state of Oklahoma this season? Bedlam was horrible to watch)
Kentucky
Alabama (Can a two-loss Alabama team that didn't win it's division sneak into the playoff? They have a better case than a one-loss Michigan/Ohio State, or a one-loss TCU...)
Oregon State (Oregon's slim PAC-12 title hopes are dead and buried after this one. Are you ready for USC/Washington in the PAC-12 title game?)
Minnesota (Maybe firing Paul Chryst was a mistake, Wisconsin?)
Duke
SMU
Louisiana
Notre Dame (USC needs the win to stay in the playoff hunt, but Notre Dame is better than any PAC-12 foe they could face, except maybe Oregon)
Texas Tech (Again, what has happened to football in Oklahoma this season?)
Washington
Stanford (Donerail, this one's for you)
LSU (Sadly, Jimbo costs too much money to fire).

#16 UCLA @ California 4:30 PM EST FOX

Florida @ #19 Florida State 7:30 PM EST ABC

Virginia @ Virginia Tech TBD

Saturday, November 26th

#3 Michigan @ #2 Ohio State Noon EST FOX Manifesting this into being. My only actual football reason for thinking it could be possible is that Ohio State had some trouble with teams that tried to be physical like Northwestern and Maryland

West Virginia @ #22 Oklahoma State Noon EST ESPN2

Louisville @ Kentucky 3 PM EST SECN The more Louisville and Satterfield hate each other, the better Louisville plays. They're unstoppable

Auburn @ #8 Alabama 3:30 PM EST CBS

#12 Oregon @ #23 Oregon State 3:30 PM EST ABC

Minnesota @ Wisconsin 3:30 PM EST ESPN

Wake Forest @ Duke 3:30 PM EST ACCN

Memphis @ SMU 3:30 PM EST

Louisiana @ Texas State 5 PM EST ESPN+

#6 LSU @ Texas A&M 7 PM EST ESPN

#18 Notre Dame @ #7 USC 7:30 PM EST ABC My only reason for this pick is that I think something somewhere will step in to keep the Pac12 out of the playoffs and this is as good a thing as any.

Oklahoma @ Texas Tech 7:30 PM EST FS1

#17 Washington @ Washington State 10:30 PM EST ESPN

BYU @ Stanford 11 PM EST FS1

I'm pretty sure calling us Nazis because we didn't pick your team in a meaningless pick'em is a personal attack that violates the terms of service on this forum.

Being in Ann Arbor on Saturday to see Illinois hold the lead for most of the 4th Quarter only to give it up with less than a minute to go has had me feeling the most extreme emotions. I am beyond proud that we held our own as an 18 point underdog that no one gave us a shot in, which bodes well for the future of the program. But at the same time I am growing more and more disappointed that we had a top 5 all time program win in our hands and basically willingly gave it away. It could have been so special...

Deion Sanders is reportedly in talks with both Colorado and South Florida for their head coaching vacancies.

I would expect Deion to be in the mix for Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State, if and when any of those jobs come open. He's not leaving Jackson State for a G5 job.

It would seem very silly for him to take Colorado or USF because yeah I'm sure he could get a job like Ole Miss or something at that level if he is just a tad patient. He obviously doesn't need an incremental step up to USF just for the money. So why burn the good graces he's earned by coaching an HBCU by taking a bad AAC job?

I suspect everyone would pick Penn State in the first game, so if there's a replacement it should be one of the others.

I tend to believe the current rumors that Lane Kiffin is planning to leave Ole Miss for Auburn, even if Lane is currently making fun of them.

I'm going to change my prediction from Ole Miss to Mississippi State
