They either don’t know or consider them not real Christians. Flip a coin, there’s evidence for both viewpoints for her (and she’s not the only one, either).

Russia's only aircraft carrier has to be brought back for repairs and will be out of commission until September: https://nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/russias-lone-aircraft-carrier-headed-back-shipyard-201390

Although even September strikes me as unlikely with the sanctions preventing Russia from obtaining the needed parts. Regardless Russia effectively no longer has any aircraft carriers for this.

It’s been “under repair” since early 2017. There’s 0% chance it’s in working order this year. Prettied up for propaganda videos? Sure. But not actually functioning.

(If you get the reference, you get the reference. I'm not going to explain).

Al won't, but inasmuch as  the Oracle of Delphi never impressed me, I will thanks to the internets (a tool that can help make more level the playing field with amazing efficiency when used properly)  enlightening me. Not everyone is a specialist in these things. Just how apt the analogy actually proves to be is a work in progress.

Based on my experience with this type, she most likely doesn't consider Catholics or Orthodox to be Christians. But this makes the whole scene even more dystopian than it already is.

Here are some bits from Reporters Without Borders:

Vicious torture by Russians

How Russians treat the press

Ukraine has its problems but has improved since the Russian puppets were kicked out, whereas Russia is an utter pit, and hey China is the fourth-worst country in the world for press freedom!

Clearly this shows that there is no difference whatsoever between state-controlled and free media! Roll Eyes

The Rowling thing from Putin is actually very revealing. It shows that he consumes and belives the junk Russian propaganda machine churns out. And since the Russian propaganda machine more often than not regurgitates stuff from depths of 4chan.....

If Russia focuses all of its attention on the Donbas, it might actually succeed at taking and holding territory. It will depend on how many troops and resources it pulls back to devote to that effort.

It seems somewhere (maybe in translation?) that Kherson Oblast (region) and Kherson city might have became muddled. Either way, the Russian claim that they actually didn't want to occupy areas their forces are being kicked out of, is hilarious.

If Kherson City was being contested we would have visual evidence. I believe they are still out in the surrounding areas of Kherson Oblast.

It does strike me that Putin, fittingly, made the same mistakes Stalin did. In the words of Sabaton:

"He thought of the might he possessed,
And not of his foe"

Analysis which matches what others have posted. The largest cities in the Donbass that Ukraine still fully controls are Slovyansk (150k), Kramatorsk (106k), Severodonetsk (101k), Lysychansk (95k), and Bakhmut (72k). They are all in the same area 70-120 km north of Donetsk and 75-130 km west of Luhansk. Most of the territory Ukraine holds in the Donbass isn't very populated, especially in the north.

This is what happens when presumed strongmen only surround themselves with a bunch of yes-men rather than people who are smarter then them, are allowed to disagree and give certain truths straight to them. To make rational decisions, political leaders need a competent team in place, giving honest opinions, maybe argue which each other behind closed doors and not tell the guy at the top what he wants to hear.

The truth is that these so-called strongmen are in fact weak characters because they can't handle different opinions and sometimes adjust their decisions when evidence points in a certain direction. They live in their own world, at least until the reality can do longer be denied. And even then, they usually look for scapegoats and find phony excuses instead of taking actual responsibility.

Lol 30:1 kill ratio? Seems legit.

Also, Ukraine doesn't even have 35 TB-2s.

It's unlikely, but Ukraine might have had 35 TB2s. They claim to have received more from Turkey, Turkey hasn't denied this and flight tracking points towards the supply of TB2 parts to Ukraine.

They had about 20 before the war and 40 on order. Delivery wouldn't count as military aid.

Should we rename this thread to "Russo-Ukrainian War" at some point? That's the generally accepted name for this conflict.
