The calls for unity are just LOL after the hell Democrats tried to put Trump in from day 1 in office.  They never tried to unify the country in the last four years.  Russia Russia Russia

From day one Trump set out to punish those who didn't support him, and as soon as he got into office he started claiming fraud because he lost the popular vote--despite winning the election.

A small batch of votes just dropped in Georgia. Joe Biden is now over 10,000 votes ahead. A recount is notably unlikely to flip Georgia at this point.

10,195 to be exact. Unless there's a tabulation error somewhere, it's over. Biden has won Georgia. A recount cannot overturn a margin like that.

It would have to be one heck of a tabulation error. They are still going through/counting provisionals in a good number of Atlanta metro counties (Fulton included) and Savannah too, so the margin could still grow by another several thousand votes by the end of it.

Bibi congratulated Biden at 7AM Israel time, when Trump was asleep and Biden not awake. chicken sh**t. the rest of the right followed by thanking Trump for 4 'amazing years' and saying that they'll work with any president as the support for Israel comes from all parts of American society and how Biden was a friend since 1972.

I do hope Biden gives him hell for a bit and Trump punishes him for his lack of total obedience

How so? "Most reasonable" does not mean they actually have to be reasonable.

Not even 12 hours out & the revisionist history of this era already begins to emerge.

Yeah, everything is relative. Jared and Ivanka are EASILY more reasonable than the rest of the Trump clan (outside of the ones denouncing him). That doesn't really say much.

Slightly off topic, but has Jill Biden indicated what her platform as FLOTUS is going to be?

Laura Bush was childhood literacy, Michelle Obama was healthy eating and reducing obesity, and Melania's is reducing cyberbullying, however ironic that is.

She'll probably make her platform something about education, given that she plans to continue working full-time as a teacher even as First Lady &, when she announced she'd continue to do so, she said it's "important" to continue teaching because "[she] want people to value teachers and know their contributions, and lift up the profession."

This. She's also into Military families and veterans due to Beau's history. She will be an excellent First Lady.

The BBC's liveblog has just posted a - probably incomplete - list of world leaders who haven't congratulated Biden so far:

Mexico: Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador

North Korea: Kim Jong-un

Russia: Vladimir Putin

Saudi Arabia: Salman

China: Xi Jinping

Turkey: Recep Tayyip Erdogan

Brazil: Jair Bolsonaro

Hungary: Viktor Orban

So, did all congratulations Biden has received so far come from non-dictators?

Didn't see this coming:

Everybody in DC knows where Javanka live, and it's not exactly the same level of security as the White House or the Naval Observatory. I wonder if they're concerned about the BLM and the Antifa violently spray painting their garage or detonating a glitter car bomb out front and now they just want to get back to their quiet penthouse in Manhattan.

Throw Iran and Libya on there as well for effect.

Bolsonaro didn't congratulate Biden but threw Trump under the bus.

I don't think, that Biden would like a public congratulation by any of those people. It would just look bad.

Didn't see this coming:

For the good of the country (and his legacy), he needs to concede.

The longer he holds out on this the worse he’s going to look.  His refusal to accept the reality of the election is directly contributing to his horrible place in history (it’s not the only thing, to be sure, but it’s a major factor running against him right now).

There was a meme here in Austria, in which the election authorities of NV asked the Austrian supermarket Hofer (Aldi) if they could send 2 cashiers to Nevada to finish vote counting there.

Users speculated that the Austrian supermarket cashiers could finish the vote count in the US in a few minutes.

Yesterday, the supermarket chain had to debunk rumours that US election officials really asked the supermarket for a few of their cashiers ... Tongue

Somehow, despite Biden just winning the election, Fox News made the front page all about Trump

They did exactly the same thing on inauguration day in 2009. When Bush flew away from DC at the end of the main ceremony, their coverage was of his freaking helicopter ride. There's a great Daily Show bit on it.

I don't think people should be banned for perpetuating these ridiculous fraud allegations, simply because he's mirroring what 20% of the country is saying right now and I think it is good for people to know what is going on right now.  These lawsuits are a joke but I think it's good to stay on top of what the Trump freaks are trying to do right now so we are ready for it.

It would be helpful if Arizona finished its count quickly.  The Trump fanatics have gone on record that they trust Arizona so if and when Trump loses it they lose another argument in their pathetic stolen election claims.

It's not even that. It's that he's literally spamming.

Imagine that after Trump won in 2016, I keep commenting "Hillary will win MI/WI/PA!" and "Russia hacked the voting machines!" over and over again.

Biden+4,853
Trump+928

Biden's lead now at 41,223 votes.

Michael D Shear (NYT): Trump was greeted at his golf course by a small handful of people, including two holding Trump 2020 signs. But another sign said, "Orange Crushed."
