OMG. The CNN so-called analysts actually are postulating trumps relocating His official residence to Florida was for electoral reasons rather than taxes, and more importantly that it actually might make some impact on the race. As if more than one undecided voter in a million down there is going to care that his official home is now Mar-A-Lago instead of Trump Tower. What complete and utter maroons.

Did you expect anything even half intelligent from CNN's "analysts"?

Biden is electable, he is just as wise as Trump and can beat him on the debate stage. I have changed my mind, it will be a wave election, just like Biden won 8 senate seats in 2008 for Obama, on the heels on another Occupy Wallstreet. Trump believes, like Bush W, Tarp for Corporations,  but call it socialism when voters are on public assistance. Public assistance isn't permanent it's a helping hand to get back on your feet, like TARP

CNN reporting news events is reliable, but its analysis looks like collecting the cranks of both sides and making sure that the chairs are locked down so that the Jerry Springer Show doesn't break out.

The Civiqs tracker has shown a *tiny* bump in Trump approval, but not by much

March 1: 43/54 (-11)
March 11: 44/54 (-10)
March 23: 45/53 (-8)

Gov. DeWine deserves every point of that 80%. He’s one of the few Republican governors putting his people’s lives ahead of following Trump’s don’t worry, be happy line.

This is exactly what I was talking about when I described Trump as being anti-Teflon.  The sort of things that would result in a surge in approval for anyone else barely register for Trump.

Virtually every other state leader and every other world leader are seeing approval ratings of 60-70% right now.  The only exception is Trump.

All of these approval numbers are going to fade when the crisis is over but the economy still struggles, and this could put Trump at absolutely historic lows.

I guess the Firehose polls were right, but PA, since 2010, since Corbett was elected,  has trended right. The Dems were saved in 2018 due to Casey.

Same was true about Obama. One small bump for the bin laden kill and that was basically it.

Trump's approval rating, per the 538 tracker, is now at 45.1%, the highest level in about three years. I'm terrified; his bungled response to COVID-19 is going to help him get re-elected.

When people go in the booth in November or vote by mail the truth will remain. Is their life better off than it was 4 years ago? Is the world a more stable and safe place? Who is the person you trust to lead America into the future?

If the majority of Americans or the breakdown in the EV vote think Trump is that person, what can you do? It's the country you live in. Instead of freaking out about Trump's approval rating and his possible re-election speak to your friends and loved ones and urge them to vote blue and register those who don't vote. Persuade reluctant and swing voters why Trump is a bad choice. I still believe an energized election defeats Trump quite easily.

That graph shows Obama getting a 7-point approval bump from the killing of bin Laden (45.5-->52.5 in early May 2011).  Trump is showing a 3-point bump.  Seems like a big difference to me.

More importantly, other leaders are seeing a 20-30 point bump across the board.  A recent Italian poll showed PN Conte up 27 points in the last month, from 44% to 71%, despite their crisis being even more dire than ours at that point.

Echelon Insights, March 20-24, 1000 RV

Approve 45
Disapprove 54

Trump approval on coronavirus handling: 52/44

Also a number of virus-related questions.  Among their findings:

Quote
American voters are united in the face of the coronavirus and don’t think the threat is being taken seriously enough. More than 8 in 10 agree with public health rationales for staying home, and 41% don't think the threat is being taken seriously enough to 26% who believe it's being exaggerated.

This extends to support for elected officials who institute lockdowns. 50% more are more likely to vote for these officials while 7% are less likely — with virtually no partisan divide.

Don’t really care the size as so much that it continues his momentum in securing a second term....

This is the point though - there were a few good days in there where Trump got good press (mostly negative as of late, though) and he could only muster a 45% approval and 48% good job on Corona, when everyone else has a way better approval. So to me, that shows that the more his terrible press conferences and soundbites happen, his # is going to continue to sink.

Trump is literally the only person/entity in the Pew poll that has a negative rating on the handling of the virus. And that's during his little bump phase. That says a lot.

Fascinating to see the lack of correlation between Coronavirus approval (now even) and approval (unchanged from yesterday). Maybe an outlier?
