Unless Trump admits the crimes he committed and apologizes for them there is absolutely no reason for Biden to pardon Trump.
And we all know how likely is for Trump to do something like that.

Actually, it totally would be in his nature to do something like that if it were to avoid prison, only to publicly repudiate such statements afterwards. Trump has no problem cosplaying as a martyr as long as it doesn't come with the actual consequences of the real deal.

Anyone suggesting the possibility of Biden pardoning Trump is a fundamentally unserious person.

Anyone suggesting the possibility of Biden pardoning Trump is a fundamentally unserious person.

He can't pardon him first of all he is under investigation for Hunter Probe and second he can't pardon Trump on state prosecuted this has already been explained and it's repeat over and over NY indictment HOCHUL has to pardon Trump not Biden and Kemp would have to pardon Trump in GA

Thirdly, why would Biden pardon Trump and Maga came after him and his family over J6, lies about a stolen Eday and still lies til this day

If Biden pardons Trump then he should let RFK Jr just have it because Trump will win MI, PA and WI like he did in 2016

Again, who is pressuring Biden to pardon Trump? The only people I'm seeing seriously raise this are Geraldo Rivera, a washed up has-been media personality now seeking contrarian attention as grift, infamous contrarian morons like Greenwald/Tracey/et. al. and some left Twitter types who have no real reason besides DOJ BAD or that Trump did nothing wrong because the Espionage Act is bad/unconstitutional and besides giving away military secrets of the imperialist neoliberal military industrial complex isn't bad anyway yet we all know would turn on Biden immediately if he did so regardless...and since when does Biden have any reason to care one iota about any of those people?

Trump wouldn't be caught dead admitting any wrongdoing. He'd prefer martyrdom and jail.

This Fed indictment is more serious than NY indictment so there won't be a GE polling bounce like last time like in NY and more indictments coming

It's votes that count not Polls anyways

If he agrees to drop out of the 2024 race, never run for any public office again, issue a public apology, and keeps his mouth completely shut for the rest of his life (in the public forum anyway), then I’d be okay with a pardon.

And if he breaks any of those agreements he gets arrested.

Then, sure

Technically speaking it would have to be a commutation rather than a pardon. That way the president could remove any imposed prison sentence and instead convert his sentence to supervised release, AKA probation. That way any violation agreement could then be enforced. A pardon means the case is done, period end of sentence.

Should probably change the title then (and also remove the "BREAKING")

If Trump even spends one day in prison for any of his crimes, then it would be one of the greatest things to happen in American history.

Hopefully, he serves at the very least a year in prison.

I still don't see Trump serving even one day in federal prison, even with a Democratic president. The pressure the latter will be under to pardon, let alone commute, Trump for the supposed "good of the country" would be enormous and I definitely don't see a centrist like Biden withstanding it. It's just like with the former Confederate leaders and Nixon.

Is...this a joke? You know Biden was in the Senate when Ford pardoned Nixon and was one of the most vocal critics of it at the time, right?

Why the hell would anyone think he's pardon Trump? That's just a real sign of just how you don't know the first thing about Joe Biden and his career.

EDIT:

I'm not saying it's impossible Trump gets pardoned, but I think it's impossible Joe Biden pardons him. Trump can (and would!) get pardoned if a Republican (himself or someone else) wins the Presidency.

In fact, IF Trump gets convicted (which we've established is not a sure thing), the election becomes a literal matter of freedom or captivity for him and you'd better believe he'll pull out all the stops and fight like hell.

I'm sort of ambivalent. I mean trump is 77, so smt going after him kind of a bad look? Also, what does this accomplish? It doesn't make 2024 any easier.

Judge rejects Trump’s bid to move hush money case to federal court

Quote
U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein, a Clinton appointee, granted the request of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s (D) office to keep the case in New York state court in a major blow to the former president.
Quote
Trump had argued the case must be moved to federal court because he was being prosecuted for an act under the color of his office as president and that Bragg’s prosecution was politically motivated. Granting the request would’ve also broadened the jury pool beyond deep-blue Manhattan to surrounding areas in New York.

Quote
“The evidence overwhelmingly suggests that the matter was a purely a personal item of the President — a cover-up of an embarrassing event. Hush money paid to an adult film star is not related to a President’s official acts. It does not reflect in any way the color of the President’s official duties,” Hellerstein wrote.

Unfortunately he'll have a better chance of getting the GA case moved to federal court.

Trump sues Michael Cohen for $500 million, alleging ex-attorney breached his contract

Quote
Former President Donald Trump is suing Michael Cohen for $500 million in damages for allegedly breaching his contract as Trump’s former personal attorney.

The lawsuit, filed in a Florida federal court on Wednesday, accuses Cohen of spreading false information about Trump and breaching his contractual obligations to the former president in Cohen’s public statements, published books, podcast series and other media appearances.

CNN has reached out to Cohen for comment on the lawsuit.

Cohen, Trump’s onetime “fixer,” has recently reentered the national spotlight after Trump pleaded not guilty last week to 34 charges of falsifying business records following an investigation into hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels. The payments were coordinated by Cohen in the days before the 2016 election, and Cohen’s cooperation with prosecutors has drawn the ire of the former president.

Trump receives deposition notice in his $500 million lawsuit against Michael Cohen (July 31, 2023)
Quote
Former President Donald Trump has been called to sit for a deposition in September as part of his lawsuit seeking $500 million from his former attorney Michael Cohen.

In a filing Monday, Cohen's attorneys scheduled the deposition for Sept. 6 at a law office in Miami.

“I look forward to Donald’s deposition under oath and proving the frivolous nature of the lawsuit,” Cohen told NBC News in a statement.

A federal judge on Thursday decided to give the Manhattan District Attorney exactly what he wants: a video copy of former President Donald Trump’s damning testimony in an unrelated rape and defamation case that was decided earlier this year.

For months, DA Alvin Bragg Jr.’s prosecutors have been trying to get their hands on a taped deposition in which Trump actually said stars like him get away with sexual harassment “unfortunately—or fortunately.”

Trump only ask Pence to overturn the election in an "aspirational way"

I guess a bank robber can ask for all the money in an "aspirational way" as well maybe?

Seems like thr wrong thread; this about charges under NY state law related to Stormy Daniels hush money, not January 6.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/trumps-bid-to-sink-the-manhattan-da-alvin-braggs-case-has-already-made-it-stronger

Donald Trump’s attempts this summer to drag his porn star-hush money case away from New York’s state courts and once again hide behind his presidential credentials has given Manhattan prosecutors a little-noticed ace in their pocket—one they can now use to bolster their case.

For months, critics of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg Jr.’s case have called it weak because the case criminally charges Trump with faking business records—a lowly misdemeanor only bumped up to a felony on a technicality.

Except that Trump’s ploy to move the case to federal court gave a judge there the opportunity to take the first swing. And he used that opportunity to make it clear that the case against Trump is far more serious than it otherwise seems—and that the burden for proving that Trump’s alleged falsification of business records are felonies is low.
