Bolduc is essentially saying the quiet part out loud. Republicans are so massively frustrated that they can't just yell about the economy all day long and abortion is getting in the way of that, so they're essentially just wishcasting it at this point.

I think that clears up what he was trying to say.

Anyway, a great change for Soc Sec is getting rid of maximum taxable earnings on it and switch to a progressive tax system.  It's kinda insane that people can earn $2 million+ in a year and only pay Soc Sec taxes on the first $147k.

This is always who Sununu has been. He admitted that one of the voter suppression bills he signed would suppress the student vote and lied about opposing it. He also lied about an abortion ban, and voted for the lack of exceptions that he later repealed. To this day, there's still a ban in cases of rape and incest. The list goes on and on.

Now normal logic would be to paint him as a flip-flopper, but this is the Democratic Party, and when Sununu was making a name for himself the NHDP had terminal #Resistance brain. So the NHDP ran 4 years of him saying "I'm a Trump guy through and through" and got themselves into this place anyway. Sure, maybe he never would be underwater, but at least he'd never be Phil Scott levels of popular.

The way the press has handled the drop in the buy is very... curious. The NRSC literally dumped all of their ads here and most of the pundits seem to be acting as if it's no big deal. This is literally half a triage.
