So Michigan is certifying.

Pennsylvania seems to have only been delayed by an outbreak of COVID in a county, still on pace to certify this week.

That should be lights out. GA already certified and even AZ Republicans don't seem to be putting up with Trump's crap. So it wouldn't even matter what happens in WI.

Of all the things that would lead to delays in this, ironically this was the last thing I expected.

Also, ironically, WI is probably the one state where the state board *can't* reject the county election certifications and cause chaos. 3-3 just means the state uses the county results, which were certified last week without incident in all 72 counties.

Utah had over 90% turnout:

That's of registered voters.

UT has a large amount of people who are eligible, but who are not registered to vote.

The actual turnout is just 68%, far from being the best among states.

What happens if the recount doesn't complete on time--do they simply use the pre-recount total?

Yes. The recount isn't mandatory.

you can watch the MI certification live:

https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/politics/2020/11/23/michigan-election-state-canvassers-certification/6390475002/

based on what I've been seeing it looks like MI will certify in a 3-1 vote.  2 D's, 1 R, 1 Hack loser.

I know one of the Rs said earlier there was a "duty to certify" but also that he wanted to hear from the public and like 700 people applied to speak, so any idea when it'll happen? Obviously no way they're going to have that many people speak.

This isn't anti-anti-Trump, it's anti going back to sleep and ignoring all the problems now that a Democrat is President.

For the most part local government likes to do their job and move on. That goes for very conservative areas as well. Besides, not many counties would want to deal with huge legal fees and penalties that might come along with delaying the result.

THE CERTIFYING DUTCHMAN!

Seriously, though, it's still unsettling that it came to this. God only knows what AVL would have done if Nessel hadn't threatened to #LockHimUp. (Literally God only knows; there's an entire theological question about to what extent He "knows" counterfactuals.)

Nessel should prosecute him and he should be referred to the bar.  Abstaining rather than voting "no" is further evidence that he acted in bad faith.  Time for these dirtbags to face consequences.

Maine certifies Biden’s victory in the state’s election

Quote
AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) — Maine has certified the results of the 2020 election, Secretary of State Matt Dunlap said Monday.

Maine is one of two states in the country that apportions single electoral votes for each congressional district in addition to awarding two for the statewide victory. President-elect Joe Biden won the statewide vote and the 1st Congressional District, good for three of the state’s four total electoral votes.

President Donald Trump won the 2nd Congressional District, which he also carried in 2016. The other state that awards electoral votes by district is Nebraska.

Maine is also the only state in the country that uses ranked-choice voting to elect the president. The method didn’t come into play this year because the margins of victory were too wide to trigger the ranked round.

Dunlap said he handed the certified results to Democratic Gov. Janet Mills at 2 p.m. on Monday, the day they were due.

I want her to lock up the abstainer though.  Please let this happen.
