The Democratic transition into becoming the party of the wealthy is truly astonishing and depressing.

Biden won voters making <$50k by 11 points and voters making $50k-$99k by 15 points... and Trump won voters making $100k+ by 12 points.

But sure. Democrats are becoming the party of the wealthy and elite. eyeroll

Not going to provide commentary on the argument rather discuss the quality of data with the exit poll, which I find to be very questionable, Trump winning college ed white women by 1 point makes absolutely no sense to me and makes it hard for me to take the exit poll data seriously among other things. AP VoteCast isn't necessarily perfect either but I prefer citing it to gauge voting behavior by demographic, and they have Biden+8 under 50k, Trump+2 50-99k, Biden+4 over 100k.

Also Clinton won 100k+ income voters in 2016 per Pew validated voter, whilst Trump did best among 50-100k income so the VoteCast data is much more in line with this than the exit poll. And it's also pretty evident that wealthier communities/precincts have swung Dem like the example provided in Grosse Point (high income precincts in Georgia also swung 7 points per NYTimes analysis).

Chairman of the Republican Party of Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin:

Republicans everywhere, at all levels, are getting tired of Trump's BS.

Not enough of them.

Unfortunately there is a segment of these voters still willing to vote R down ballot even though those Rs  have shown a totally lack of spine and constant appeasement and pandering towards the Trump fascists.  I mean you see it here.

It's not that unlike other demographics that moved to the other side of the aisle over time. Usually takes a few cycles or more for these people to shake off old habits. Democrats still benefited from some Trump supporters habitually voting Dem as well.

Shame trends couldn't catch up in the last cycle before redistricting, though.

What does give me hope is that those of you who DO see how insane all this BS is are now starting to realize that, frankly, we’ve been right all along.
This is my hope as well. I mean, you HAVE to think that some people haven't been completely lost to QAnon alternate reality and are now realizing that perhaps what the "lamestream media" and democrats have been saying about Trump was right all along.

On the other hand, I have no evidence whatsoever to suspect that this is the case, because 10 million more people just voted for this disaster than in 2016. I do still have some hope....but not much.

Seriously, what's wrong with New York? They haven't updated their numbers for quite a while.

They're incompetent at running an election, that's about all there is to it.

Cuomo should fire the whole BOE and do significant reforms, this is embarassing

He subsequently clarified that it was actually a ballot application that had been scribbled on, not an actual ballot.

Embarrassing is an understatement. They should take Florida lessons.

What did Pat Toomey do to piss him off?

I'm not even hitting the like button for this. These things are such natural "duhs"/"give me's", like congratulations for making it through the day without raping a toddler. Same thing here. Congratulations on knowing America is not a banana republic.

She doesn't care. She would probably drop-out and let Doug Collins replace her if possible...just because Trump said so.

Yes, but Collins actively helped try and have the mail votes tossed so now he's going to kiss his ass and possibly lose a senate seat in the process.

It looks like Biden has surpassed Lyndon Johnson's 1964 percentage in the state, meaning that he now has the best performance of any presidential candidate in Maryland since Horatio Seymour in 1868.

The incentive for which is presumably that this would well-position him to be the GOP frontrunner against Warnock in 2022.
