my wife says i am like a "superstitious old Spanish woman" these days

we went to see OPPENHEIMER in theaters (highly recommend it, was an exceptional film, with great PRO-AMERICA messages about doing your DUTY and also TRUTH, JUSTICE, and the AMERICAN WAY, and how HITLER was BAD)

but in the previews it was showing a new "Exorcist" film and I did not even like being in the same theater as that playing on the screen.

 i understand why ppl were pissing themselves and throwing up when the original came out back in the day, thats exactly how i felt when my sister- in- law took us to see this film called "Talk to Me" i felt like i was gonna lose consciouss right there in the theater, never watch that film unless u want to have nightmares the rest of ur life.

anyway i do not think i will be going to see the Exorcist film.

I quit trying to be a mathematician.  Celebrated my favorite daughter turning 5.  Moved from MN to CA.  Became a software engineer at a startup.  Quit nicotine.  Moved from CA to MN.  Moved from MN to WI.  Fought a child custody battle.  Got divorced.  Changed jobs to a Fortune 100 company.  Had a disastrous rebound relationship.  Took up ballroom/swing/latin dancing.  Celebrated the recombinant DNA turning 10.  Took up improv.  Joined an ultimate frisbee team.  Bought a house.  Refinanced.  Took up guitar.  Celebrated my still-favorite daughter's sweet 16.  Got laid off of work.

Chilling at DFW aurport waiting for boarding to begin on a journey that will see me land in Montana around midnight. Four-and-a-half day weekend away from the kids. It feels strange after spending nearly every day of almost three months with them. I hope I can forget a but before my flight back here on Monday. While visiting the Camposanto in Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa I saw restoration happening on the frescoes, which I believe I had never witnessed in person before. Pretty amazing!
