Wouldn't put it past Vos to execute Rhodesia but with Snow: Impeachment-palooza. But, it's unlikely. End of an era. This will be a fun 2 years.

Yeah I can't see them doing that. It would get them national attention and would be such a partisan move it would backfire massively on them.

Impeachment and removal doesn't matter if Evers appoints the replacement.  They would have to first impeach and remove Evers, and then the LG, and then down the line of succession for governor until they got to a Republican, if there even is one in the constitutional line of succession (it looks like at least the 1st 4 officials in line are all Dems).
From my understanding of the state constitution it’s Lieutenant Governor then Secretary of State. There isn’t anyone after that.

Yeah and the instant that Evers was impeached the LG would appoint a new LG.

Shoot, the State Senate will still have a R Senate SuperMajority? That ain't good.

Yeah, this throws a massive asterisk over every other electoral win. For all intents and purposes, Scott Walker is back in power in Madison until and unless the WISC forces new legislative elections under fair maps.

Given all the Republicans that want to seceede from Democratic states, how long before Wisconsin Republicans start to demand that Southern Wisconsin become part of Illinois?

"We'd have to sacrifice a few of the WOW counties (which are trending Democratic anyway) but, it's worth it to get rid of all those liberals/socialists/communists."

They don't have a super majority in the Assembly.

The way the Wisconsin legislature is gerrymandered is borderline 3rd world banana republic level of authoritarianism from the GOP and getting a chance to root it out and return the legislatures to the people is equally as important to me tonight as protecting the right to choose.

I'm just so happy, good choice Wisconsin! Purple heart

Tonight, the people of Wisconsin won reproductive justice and a chance at having a real democracy.

Goodness won today.

At least you're finally admitting that abortion is why the GOP loses races.

Every time I've blamed abortion for costing the GOP in a race, you're quick to pivot to 'election denial'.

The margin in this race and SD8 suggests Kelly may not have been the only issue here.

I wonder if Protasiewicz won any municipalities in Waukesha County. Biden came close, but no cigar.
