No Joe.

link to article is down, but the other tweets in the thread show the incident in the article took place in 2008, after Klobuchar was already in the Senate. additionally it seems like a grand jury rejected this case so even if she was still Hennepin County Attorney she wouldn't be able to prosecute it. alternative news sources.... not necessarily true news

plus errors such as calling Klob "Minnesota's chief prosecutor" (implying AG) when she was just Hennepin CA as well as tweet saying the 2008 man who was shot died even though the Star Tribune article linked says he was held on bail (and didn't die).

The link to the article is active again and said the incident occurred in 2006 when she was still the Hennepin County Attorney but if she wasn’t there then obviously I can’t hold her to account for that. Biden’s vetting team will get to the bottom of whatever she did or didn’t do in her capacity.

ETA: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/minneapolis-police-officer-center-george-floyd-s-death-had-history-n1215691

We were talking about two different incidents. He killed someone in 2006, though the story was that the guy had committed a murder and after a chase threatened the responding officers with a shotgun. The investigation just sort of fell apart. The article I linked mentions that and the 2008 incident you referred to.

This WaPo article also discusses her interesting past when it comes to cases that dealt with officer involved killings: https://t.co/KORKqcUX3V?amp=1

Raimondo has had huge approval ratings lately as one of the best in the country.

She's handled Covid well.

She was the first Democrat to get elected here since 1990, and first Democrat to win re-election since the 1970's.

But she also endorsed Bloomberg when he was in.

Jonathan Capehart already endorsed Sen. Kamala Harris as VP in an earlier editorial.  In this one he gives a thumbs down to Sen. Amy Klobuchar:

Quote
Not all white women talked about as prospective Biden running mates are created equal in the eyes of black voters. Some have more standing than others. For instance, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) has it. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) absolutely does not.

Quote
“We heard his repeated calls for help. We heard him say over and over again that he could not breathe. And now we have seen yet another horrifying and gut-wrenching instance of an African American man dying,” Klobuchar said in a statement. She signed onto a letter with other Minnesota lawmakers calling on the U.S. attorney and the Hennepin County attorney to conduct a “thorough investigation into the events that led to this tragedy.” Nice words. But there is a reason many African Americans explicitly name Klobuchar as an unacceptable choice for Biden’s running mate. She was Hennepin County attorney from 1999 until she went to the U.S. Senate in 2007. And what is happening in Minneapolis will bring renewed attention to troubling aspects of her tenure.

Quote
The Post headline on a March 2019 story examining her record was succinct: “As a prosecutor in heavily white Minnesota, Amy Klobuchar declined to go after police involved in fatal encounters with black men.” The report noted that after narrowly winning her election, Klobuchar went about fulfilling campaign promises to ramp up felony and juvenile prosecutions. The focus of the story was the 2002 death of Christopher Burns. Police arrived at his home in response to a domestic violence call.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2020/05/27/why-black-voters-dont-want-klobuchar-bidens-running-mate/

This is a signal to me that views of Klobuchar are solidifying among the black chattering class and not in a good way.  This is a big hurdle to her getting the VP nomination.

Raimondo has long been despised by the left. Choosing her would be a giant middle finger to them.

Yeah, that article is terrible optics for Klobuchar. I already thought there was no way Biden could pick a white VP, and now I'm 100% sure - especially not her

It's going to come down to Harris or Whitmer. If Biden wants the midwest moderate, Klobuchar doesn't make as much sense today.

Yeah, this article is trash.

Either way, the optics for Klob being on the ticket were already bad (WAY too white), and now they're even worse. It ain't happening. I'd say Warren even has a better chance than she does now.

The last thing Biden needs is discussion over Warren's DNA instead of focus on Trump's pandemic  handling.

The last thing Biden needs is discussion over Warren's DNA instead of focus on Trump's pandemic  handling.

No serious person is going to have a discussion of that. Everybody says Warren handled it poorly, but the truth is, it hasn't really been an issue since she took the test. Trump laughed, Indigenous groups protested her "one drop" assertion... but then it went away because it has literally nowhere else to go.

I realize there are more unserious people than not (after all, Hillary Clinton ran a child porn ring in a pizza place Roll Eyes), but these people will have "a discussion" over every meaningless thing. I could reword your post to say "the last thing Biden needs is a discussion over Harris sleeping around to get her job instead of focus on Trump's pandemic handing." At this point, just fill in the blank for anyone. It doesn't mean any of it is legit or any of it will matter.

A lot of middle of the road voters just hate the Harvard elitism and the "I'm smart, I have a plan for America" line of thinking. This includes plenty of regular college grads and professionals from non-elite institutions.

I’m not sure how credible this is, but apparently Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo is also under consideration and is moving up on the list.

I call malarkey on that!  No way Raimondo is under consideration.
I did a search in Fox Business and couldn’t find anything related to It. Anyone else having any luck? I find fake news on the left

That "Biden_Brigade" account just reposted info from another tweet.  Here's the original tweet that this comes from:

Yeah didn't he go onto admit that his sources on this were people who work(ed) at Goldman Sachs who like Gina Raimondo because she also used to work at Goldman Sachs?

It'll be Kamala Devi Harris and she might just make history as the first woman on a presidential ticket to win the White House.

What strikes me odd about this is that this guy supposedly did a ton of polling on VP choices, yet, when talking about anyone who's not Warren (specifically Harris), he just goes off of inference and isn't backing it up by any actual polling data.
