Gravis is gonna Gravis. Doesn't fly with a D+3 Generic ballot. Manchin +2 I can believe.

Compared to:

IN-SEN Gravis: Braun +1

Told you guys. This is Bayh 2.0, R+10 election day.  Where are those mocking me now?

Translation: I decided long ago what I believe the midterm will be, and I will selectively define the credibility and believability of polls and pollsters as needed to justify my prediction.

I mean, sheesh, it's ok to change your opinion of what you think will happen as new data becomes available, but this is next level hackery or just bad trolling.

This post gets to the nub of the matter with precision using an economy of words. Well done for the "elegance" of it all.

I would never vote to confirm an AG nominee who did not have a non partisan background and temperament if I were in the Senate. That is the fix given the rules of the road.

Looks like we escaped the lock outs well, but even if we get candidates in these potential pick up seats, the gop is still leading well in primary turnout for these districts and breaching 50% in like all of them. This is very bad and should not be happening. Not good at all...

THERE ARE THOUSANDS (MAYBE MILLIONS) OF VOTES LEFT TO COUNT!!!

What's the appeal of voting for Dianne Feinstein?
Because most California democrats don't know better and would vote for a massive DINO over an "unknown" progressive candidate.

After the third presidential debate and the schedule of November 1-3 2020.
Do you wish you were Jeanette Rubio?

We don't need to be her to like Marco Rubio.
Yes you do.

Democrats really over-shot their coverage in a lot of these competitive districts - with the exception of the seats that California Dems have been typically targeting recently (CA-10, CA-25, and dear god CA-21 where Valadao crossed 60%).

After tonight I'm gonna just say CA-21 is Safe R for Valadao and CA-49 is looking more and more like Lean D (Dems are AHEAD of the GOP in a district that was basically made to be Safe Issa and a district with an R registration advantage).

I'd hold off on calling CA-21 safe right now. The Dem base there turns their ballots in last second (read: it'll take weeks to know what really happened), and always has pretty weak primary turnout
Agreed. Democrats in CA-21 often do not vote in primaries.

Katko seems like a legit great incumbent, plus he voted against AHCA. Valadao meanwhile has been coasting by on a combination of a Hispanic-sounding name and Republican-leaning environments, voted for both AHCA and tax cuts, and in general has “the next Gene Taylor” written all over him.

Yeah the anti-semite isn't winning this. For republicans Freitas and Vogel are both from this seat

For heaven's sake she is not an anti-Semite. Criticizing US policy with Israel is not anti-Semitic and that is what her book highlighted. What is anti-Semitic was the march on Charlottesville that the Jesus Christ adorned GOP refused to sharply condemn. Get it right.

Nobody's allowed to say anything about Israel in this country. For all the right wing whining about people like Laura Ingram being taken down by "leftist SJW mobs," you never hear those on the right say anything about all the laws passed that essentially criminalizes the criticism or boycotting of Israel.

AIPAC has such a stranglehold that even the overwhelming majority of the politicians accused of being anti-semitic because they actually criticized Israel for something still voted to have $225 million of US taxpayer money go to Israel's Iron Dome system to allow them to kill as many Palestinians as they want without any consequences.

Oh god. You can criticize the aid money, but the Iron Dome allows us to defend innocent citizens from missiles that are launched on us in order to murder us. I don't care about which lies about Israel you believe, and what are your views on aid money, but saying that me and my family should die as a "consequence" is absolutely disgusting.

http://www.stirjournal.com/2014/05/12/u-s-foster-care-a-flawed-solution-that-leads-to-more-long-term-problems/

http://www.aecf.org/blog/ways-to-limit-foster-care-to-those-who-need-it/?msclkid=eae12ac750b318be7cd771da5d62355a&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=AECF%20Site&utm_term=foster%20care&utm_content=Limiting%20Foster%20Care

The present condition of our Foster Care systems and the welfare of those children in it is, IMO, the most underdiscussed public issue of our day.

This issue is incredibly complicated, but it is easily dismissed because of the fact that it involves the most voiceless members of our society; children from families that do not function well enough to provide what Abraham Maslow would describe as Safety Needs, and (in some cases) even Survival Needs.

To create a better system than what we have now will require both money and open-mindedness from a financially strapped and shortsighted taxpayer base (numerically) and a recognition on the part of the wealthiest in our society that "To whom much is given, much is requires."  The lives of these children need to "grow" and "be stimulated" far more than the economy does.

If there really is extreme Franken trutherism (and I'm skeptical that there is), this country has bigger problems than I ever imagined.

Another day of primaries. Smiley

Unfortunately, we cannot project anything in Iowa because the Governor race on the R side is uncontested, leading to massively reduced R turnout in the state.

Dems picked up NJ-02, NJ-07, and NJ-11. Not sure about NJ-03 yet.

Dems have also picked up NJ-03 and NJ-04. Unfortunately, Republicans have picked up NJ-05. Gottheimer was sacrificed so Democrats could defeat MacArthur and Smith.

Wow, sad to see my home district hero going down. And I liked Chris Smith a lot... but getting rid of McArthur is good.

For Gottheimer so loved the Democrats, that he gave his only elected office, that MacArthur and Lance should not win re-election, but have everlasting lobbying careers.

Justice Democrats should've primary Menendez instead wasting time and money on primaring Manchin (which was stupid and would make this race safe R if it would have succeeded)
