Feinstein wants to ban kratom and Manchin wants to escalate the War on Drugs, so I'm kinda split.

Manchin isn't a nannystatist gungrabber AFAIK, though.

Feinstein now supports marijuana legalization and opposes capital punishment. Manchin is the opposite. Feinstein votes against Trump's Supreme Court picks. Manchin votes for them.

Tossup. I’m closer to Manchin on guns, but also worse on drug issues. Both are horrible on foreign policy. Feinstein is a little better on Wall Street but otherwise similar on economics. In theory, it’d make sense that Manchin would be more pro-labor and Feinstein is trash on those issues but Manchin hasn’t cast many votes on labor unions since he’s been in office. I find Manchin’s style really annoying but at least Manchin has an excuse of being from a red state. Manchin says Medicare for All should be considered; Feinstein does not. Ok, that’s it, Manchin is somehow slightly better.

Manchin, while I'm constantly annoyed by him, is probably the best Democrats can get in West Virginia at the moment. So, yeah.

But in the end, Manchin seems more genuine, and he did better in his previous job than she did hers.
