Sounds like he's describing post-2008 congressional Republicans.

The NC-06 field keeps growing. A banker, Bruce VonCannon (R), is running; he said he's prepared to self-fund.

Ah, but Tillis didn't even end jobless benefits for those whiners. The legislature merely reduced the duration.

And after the duration, the benefits end.

Krazen's posts on this thread will be deleted, so please don't respond to them Wink

And after the duration, the benefits end.

Such is the nature of any finite duration independent of Mr. Thom Tillis. At some point the whiners are supposed to take responsibility for their own lives.

So this is a krazen post?

Obviously.

He's a troll who he overplays his views here to get reactions.

Again, its best not to entertain him by responding to his garbage. Otherwise, good threads tend to get hijacked.

I knew Krazen during my stint in RRH. He is hyperpartizan even there, but not so crazy as here...

I hate being in the 6th district now, none of my area is even considered in either picking candidates or getting legislation, we should have just stayed with Foxx. I doubt any of them will even come to Surry Co, Coble sure didn't until this past year.

Right now I'm leaning Hagan, but it all depends on who runs for the Reps. If it is who I think it will be I will prob vote for Hagan. She hasn't impressed me that much but she is sure better than Dole, she was a joke.

Well, Coble just started representing Surry this year and at least has a staffer there.

Glad to hear about Hagan! Cheesy

The Senate Majority PAC has an ad out against Cassidy hitting him on the shutdown. It could be a model for Democrats going on the offense in other states.

I'm getting sick of seeing nothing but anti-Landrieu ads on TV, so this is good that they're firing back.

So of all the tea partiers running in NC, which one is the least craziest?

Bill Flynn is basically your standard Cruz acolyte/Savagite. Still screaming about defunding Obamacare and all that jazz.

Heather Grant seems like a generic bagger, but she tweeted that she believes babies talk to spirits when they're just happy, laughing, and smiling. Also, in true 'Murican fashion, raffling off a gun to her supporters.

Harris is less of a tea partier and more of an establishment socon. Hawkish foreign policy, more of a neocon as far as that goes, and Tea Party as far as economics goes. Very socially conservative, said that being gay's a choice. Basically one of the fathers of Amendment 1.

Grant's probably the least crazy out of all of them, and her and Harris seem like the only ones who can win. If James Cain jumped in, he'd probably take quite a bit of the votes away from the establishment and he'd be by far the sanest candidate- from what I heard he's a moderate voice in the NCGOP, and he might have a decent chance of getting past the primary if the tea vote's split enough.

Why are Louisiana and North Carolina lumped into the same thread?

Because I personally spend a lot of time tracking both states and they each happen to have, 'ya know, competitive Senate races.

Dietzel is getting help from Cain, and will formally kick off his campaign next month. Not an endorsement I'd be trumpeting. An outside group or prominent elected Pub would be more helpful.

Yikes. Even Santorum would have been much better than Cain.

I RSVP'd myself a ticket to the event wth Cain. I'll be in town; might as well check it out.

I'm a bit mystified by this. Surely Dietzel, who seems smart and energetic, could find better names (sorry Phil) than these? Especially given that his opponents are hardly rock stars themselves.

I wouldn't call Claitor a 'rock star' per se, but he's popular in Baton Rouge.
