Guillory is here.

The first person I recognized was Roger Villere, the LA GOP chairman.

Even more institutional support than I thought. Good sign.

"We need dynic leaders like Ronald Reagan."

Wonder Cassidy felt after Dietzel said that.

Big clap when Dietzel mentioned finding the truth about Benghazi Tongue

Cain is an entertaining speaker, I'll give him that.

"We have to outwork and outvote the stupid people."

"SIN is ruining our country. Stupidity. Incompetence. Nonsense."

Accuses Obama of fixing unemployment numbers. Obama's taxes are "legalized theft."

Cain is bashing "establishment conservatives."

'Must be awkward as hell for Cassidy.

Ok, 'just got  back in. I had a good time. Dietzel is a good guy, but I'm sticking with Claitor.

Pics. The lighting was harsh; only so much I could do about that.

I took some audio recordings in my iPhone of Dietzel and Cain too. If I can figure out how to post that, I will.

Cain is much shorter than I had imagined him to be.

Dietzel was taller than I expected XD :

Woody Jenkins led the Pledge of Allegiance. He's the guy Mary beat to win her seat in 1996. Again, sorry for the harsh lighting.

From Dietzel:

I couldn't find Cassidy after the event Sad

I'll get another chance at the March for Life tomorrow though.

Dammit, if I had more notice, I could have planned for this too. Mary is heading an energy talk Tuesday at UL-Lafayette.

Cassidy, Maness , Vitter and Cao with each other at the Capitol steps.

Cassidy is an awkward speaker, IMO.

Vitter talked about protecting the vulnerable. Too bad his actual legislation is geared towards screwing the poor Tongue

Pics!

At the beginning of the march, I was looking around, but Vitter happened to walk in front of me:

Cassidy speaking:

Vitter speaking:

I was kinda hoping Vitter would announce for Gov at this (because it would be cool to be the first ones to hear that) but I guess it makes sense that he didn't.

Cassidy and Dietzel:

With Cassidy:

He asked me what I was majoring in and I said International Studies. He said I should come work for his campaign.

"I dunno. Mary has been in there for a while and has seniority. Why would we trade that for a freshman." After I said that, he kinda smiled at me slyly, like he'd figured me out. "Because next year, she'd be in the minority." When I said I still wasn't sure, he was like "We'll talk later." I guess that was politician code for "Okay, I've had enough!"

On Sunday, there was a Stand Your Ground rally at the capitol featuring Maness and Vitter.

Sorry, I can hang out with the pro-life crowd, but I wasn't going live to cover that event for ya'll!

With Vitter running for Governor, there was some outside speculation that he'd vacate his seat early creating a special here. For better or worse, it looks like that won't be the case.

Question is who'd run for Vitter's seat when he vacates it, especially if JNK runs for guv too. But that's probably for the guv thread.

NC: I expect crappy numbers from the Pubs.
