OK, I’m going to post one of my most conspiratorial and controverisal theories:

Lindsey Graham is gay and was IN LOVE with John McCain. Wasn’t just friends with him, had an unrequited romantic attraction to him. This is what kept him relatively grounded and moderate, the type of “maverick” who praised Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton, for years.

But when McCain died, everything changed. Not just because the man he was in love with was gone, but also because the Trump camp dug deep enough to find evidence of Graham’s relatively open secret. And he is so terrified of being outed, he will do ANYTHING to avoid it, including disgrace the memory of the man he loved and betray his own principles.

Probably more fanfic than reality, but it's not entirely out of the question.

I think it's more likely he's just afraid for his career and maybe losing friends/family.

Anyway, I'm going to bed. The way the counts are being conducted is a disgrace. Every normal human being in the world is desperate for this to end, but people like some web developer in Georgia just HAVE to get their beauty sleep and don't have anyone who can fill in for them while they do. Unreal.

7am and Biden has still not pulled ahead in PA ?

A bit disappointing, but I actually thought it would happen today rather than yesterday ...

GA is really close, maybe it will stay Trump.

What’s left to count ? 5k votes and a few military ballots ?
Ga isnt staying for Trump but will be tight victory for Biden assuming we are getting the correct amount of ballots still left

Turnout:

145.5 million, which is ca. 147 million total ballots counted.

I think Biden has Georgia in the bag. Does anyone think Trump will overtake Biden's lead in Arizona? His winning margin keeps shrinking.

Also, why is Trump still leading in PA? Ugh!

Not having anyone who can fill in for them... that is, indeed, unreal. smh

Bernie could not have won.

However, I don’t think Pete, Warren, Booker, Harris (at top of ticket), or almost any of the other primary candidates could have either.

The only people I’m confident could have won this election are Joe Biden, Sherrod Brown, and Amy Klobuchar. Picking a candidate with rust belt ties and appeal proved to be absolutely essential I think in the end.

If eligible, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton likely could also have won. As could have Joe Manchin, Jon Bel Edwards, and maybe some other blue dogs. But they never would have made it past the primaries.
I mean President Sherrod Brown has been my dream basically since he showed up in the Senate (my god the man is everything you want in progressive politics and crushes elections in Ohio), but unfortunately being the only Democrat that can win in Ohio (damn it Strickland) meant his Senate seat was too valuable.
FWIW, since I’ve not been posting in the primary, I was never much of a Bernie person except as a protest/anti-Clinton candidate way back in 2016 all in on Warren and sincerely don’t think who the candidate is matters that much. Biden was consistently only a point or two higher in head to heads than everyone else. I wouldn’t want to find out if that mattered (looks like it might have) this time, but in the main candidate quality, absent scandal, is overrated. That said, I think Brown or Booker or Warren or Bernie or just about anyone who wasn’t carrying the 25 year media hate boner would have comfortably won 2016. And I do sort of blame.

The UMC moderates that really want to ditch the Midwest for the Sunbelt (because Austin is cool and Peoria is lame I guess) are not helpful.

Cause not enough ballots have been counted for Biden to overtake?

What role did Joe Lieberman play in this hawk romance?

It's clear Raffensberger doesn't want GA to be the one who puts Biden over 270. They'll probably wait till PA flip before reporting.

I have to say, Biden's maps are definitely much more doable for other Democrats than Obama's maps.

Obama's maps depend heavily on Obama's personality and as soon as Obama is not on the ticket, the thing collapsed.

I mean Nevada isn't called either. Would put him at 269.

I mean Graham going completely unhinged these past few years is obviously due to someone having compromising material on him. There’s no question there and that actually seems to be the consensus in DC as to why he acts this way, beyond just the electoral calculations.

DDHQ just had a new drop of Arizona votes, probably not from Maricopa.

Drop of 6,691 votes...and Trump won...44.06% of them so Biden netted 795.

And for the doomsayers, 44.06 would be less than 57% or 59% percent.

Hail to the delays we didn't really ask for
Hail to the delays we're stuck with one and all

Hail to the delays, hail to our grief

In Nevada, the house always wins, which means 269 in this case.

Obama's maps depends heavily on Obama's personality and as soon as Obama is not on the ticket, the thing collapsed.

Hence why Michelle, ma belle, and "Madam President" are words that go together well for a plurality of Democrats, apparently.

Yeah do we have any more scheduled ballot drops from AZ or GA?

NV I'm assuming we won't get anything until tomorrow night.

PA seems to just be releasing a thousand votes every half hour or so.

But why though?? It would be epic if GA is the state that ends the election

I frankly don't blame him if he wants to stay in office. Trump has a history of going after officials in his party who cross him.
