2022 will be a slaughter fest no matter what, and it’s best for Dems to accept that reality now than to gloat about McAuliffe’s 1-2 point victory in a state Biden won by 10%.

If Youngkin doesn't win there are going to be a whole lot of angry blue avatars on here. They are boosting themselves up for a landslide that might not even happened based on an early exit poll.

And even if he does win you won't see Democrats threatening violence or demanding audits. That is the difference between the parties.

lol. You forget riots in 2020 by your friends. And accusation of fraud in 2000, 2004, georgia,...

What riots in 2020? And the fraud accusations in 2000 and 2004 were nowhere near as mainstream among Democrats as the fraud allegations are amongst Republicans. Don't reply to my posts with your silly self.

BLM riots but I see that you are in denial. Even for the rest. lol.

You were implying that there were riots over the election. No one is talking about BLM, but of course you people have to bring it up at every turn. Typical.

please...

https://www.bbc.com/news/election-us-2016-37946231

That's from 2016, you said there were riots over the election in 2020. You lied and got called out. Let it go.

lol. The riots in 2020 were BLM riots. After, i prove to you that dems can also riot when they lose elections.

Random people rioting is not the same thing as actual Republican elected officials organizing an attack on the US Capitol and actively trying to overturn legitimate election results. You are comparing apples to oranges.

The people who were rioting in places like Portland in the summer of 2020 were repeatedly condemned by Biden and they often held signs like "We don't want Biden, we want revenge"

Again, exits could be right, they could be wrong, but let's remember in CA when the early exits pointed to Newsom +16 when that was far off from the actual result.

Who knows in this case.

Could we actually hit 500,000 votes in Fairfax County?  That would be absurd for an off off year.

Counting your chickens before they hatch is pretty silly. If anything a narrow McAuliffe win would push Republicans further and further into the conspiracies about fraud and possibly make conditions all about their insanity instead of real issues. In a midterm election with fewer competitive seats than ever that can make a real difference. The midterms 1994s and 2010s are not going to happen anymore due to polarization.

Does anyone have any actual useful information about what is going on?

There’s not going to be anything useful until the results come in. Let’s not kid ourselves.

This is the first thing I'm looking for. Ideological ID is the 2nd most correlated metric w/ voter intent after party id, and imo is more useful because of the distinction between moderates and independents. If that conservative number is <35%, then Tmac wins even if he hits the D-floor with moderates (e.g. 4 to 3). The pollsters have been screening for a conservative turnout of 37-39%,  which opens the door to have the raw E-day vote margins in rural/Appalachian VA and eat into the state's ideological lean. Also look for liberals to be at least 25%.

If I have to guess, I still think McAuliffe wins. It may be narrow, but Virginia is still a highly educated D-trending Biden +10% state. Candidate quality isn't giving either side a major advantage, they're both boring average candidates. The polling does mean I wouldn't be surprised if Youngkin wins though.

Nickelback is underrated as hell, change my mind.

A lot of Atlas posters might be reenacting their song "Burn it too the ground" come Midnight VA time depending on the results:

"

Well, it's midnight, damn right
We're wound up too tight
I've got a fist full of whiskey
The bottle just bit me
Oh, that sh*t makes me bat sh**t crazy
We've got no fear, no doubt
All in balls out
We're going off tonight
To kick out every light
Take anything we want
Drink everything in sight
We're going till the world stops turning
While we burn it to the ground tonight
Ooh, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh
We're screaming like demons
Swinging from the ceiling
I got a fist full of fifties
Tequila just hit me
Oh, we got no class, no taste
No shirt, and sh*t faced
We got it lined up, shot down
Firing back straight crown...."
