Not that it matters but here is tonight's delegates won:

Trump- 20
Desantis- 9
Haley- 8
Ramaswamy- 3*

* not sure how they handle delegates of someone who has dropped out.

Assuming state party rules haven't changed from 2016, those delegates get reallocated to the other candidates. So likely 2 to Trump and 1 somewhere else.

Add that to the Trump column implicitly. Ramaswamy endorsed Trump.

Ugh … desantis talking upbeat about how Iowa just punched his ticket (to where? Goodness, who knows). He won’t be dropping out
For some reason I have a vivid memory of Joe Lieberman's post-NH speech in 2004...it was downright surreal. He talked about how "New Hampshire put him in the ring" and mocked USA Today for doing a profile on the top four candidates for NH, of which he wasn't one. And...he came in fifth behind those four and didn't win a single delegate, yet he tried to give an almost victory speech.

Is all the vote in there? AP is saying 95.9% is in, and NYT is estimating 150 more votes to count there.

Um, winning the caucus doesn't mean Trump is President now lol. The general election is still on and he has to win it to be able to appoint anyone to anything.

Here is an crazy stat that shows you how much more non religious the nation is getting. In 2016 about 36% of Iowa GOP caucus goers were non-evangelical and now that number is up to 46%

"We're in a three-way tie for third place!" was the most excitement that man ever showed in his public life.

Haley with the strongest attacks on Trump I've heard so far from her, accused him of being no different than Biden, attacked his age.

Too little, too late.

I don’t think this statistic is necessarily proof of that. There were two competitive caucuses in 2016. Only the Republicans had one this year. I imagine that percentage dropped because a lot of Democrats and left leaning Independent caucuses with the Republicans this year.

I expect that there’s going to be more anti-Trump counties in NH and maybe suburban SC even if the race is over by Super Tuesday, but there’s a chance that the one vote-margin there is the only thing between Trump and a clean sweep. I hope it holds (purely so that the maps are less boring).

Well, she's also wrong. Biden and Trump are not even remotely similar to each other (outside of age).

Besides Johnson, looks like Trump underperformed his statewide vote share in Polk, Dallas, Story. Exactly where I'd expect. Any other counties I'm missing?

Haley has only HERSELF to blame that DeSantis isn't dropping out. Saying that NH needs to correct Iowans, the Civil War Flub. She made some pretty big mistakes down the stretch in Iowa.

I think DeSantis would have dropped out had he gotten 3rd in Iowa.

Say you were Haley and were trying to do as well as possible. What would you have done differently?

I would have just stay quiet. Haley and DeSantis being sort of tied in POLK COUNTY is a complete joke. This is an Area where she should have run up the margins.
