If this isn’t white privilege, then I don’t know what is:

That's not white privilege, that's just what happens in prisons, and I don't even see how that's a bad thing, as long as anyone is allowed to request such a meal for religious reasons regardless of race.

I'm pretty sure that even prisoners on death row can request anything at all for their last meal.

Even if constitutionally-protected, the request for an all shamanistic diet is nevertheless cringe-worthy.

If anyone's interested, Trump's speaking now

I looked into it briefly. He called for "hunting the Biden Administration" in retribution.

"For Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to continue on this path, I think it's causing tremendous danger to our county and it's causing tremendous anger. I want no violence."

WTF?

I double checked this, and it's true. What the ACTUAL F!?

These people are absolute maniacs! Say what you will about their ability to empathize with other humans, but why harm an innocent animal!? Something is inherently wrong with you if you support Trump! You are a despicable psychopath if you do. I'm not pulling punches anymore. F*** Trump and everyone who ever voted for him!

If not mistaken, the mantee are still considered an endangered species. Because they swim so close to the surface, many small boats (and their propellers) accidently hit them, and injure or kill them.

One thought just popped up in my mind: the riot has been confirmed as a coronavirus superspreader event.

This means that some rioters who are still at large will be developing symptoms around now.

Take this to its conclusion and this means in the coming days, there will be arrests of people in hospital, coughing their lungs out.
How many confirmed cases are there? I believe you, but do you have a source for this?

Even after a riot where his own life was threatened, the turtle finds a partisan reason to support impeachment, lol.

Thank GOD. I was so worried this guy was not going to be caught. I hope he rots in prison for a long, long time.

They (We) don't have him yet.
But with a good image like that, something tells me it will be soon.

If we see more than 10 republican house members come out in favour I'd finally expect we'd see a senate convinction supported by more than the usual gang of republicans (Romney, Sasse, Collins etc)

Right, that's what I'm saying. A part of me is still terrified that trump issues a blanket pardon to all of the insurrectionists, though.

I think senate conviction is likely. Question is: when? Are we looking at a speedy trial, in time for a removal? Or something more prolonged, with a conviction happening during Biden's term?

Lochte knows what the inside of a jail looks like.

Question for any resident law talker guys;
Is there are arguement that any pardon made for crimes that a President (or Governor) participated in is made for corrupt purposes or gives the appearance of the same?
Or am I talking out my ass?

A conviction (even if after January 20tn) would bar Trump from running in 2024, right?  If so, I could see some Republicans supporting it for the reason of taking back the party.  If not, I think most Senate Republicans would view it as a sideshow that doesn't really matter anymore.

I believe it wouldn’t automatically do so, but after conviction he would only need a majority vote to be barred from running again.

That vote would pass easily though at this point. The difficulty is getting to 2/3rds for the first one.

It just needs to be reiterated to people since a lot of people are under the impression that Trump can be barred from office without conviction.
