Democrats need to find "creative" methods of punishing Trump's supporters moving forward.

HB--169 The Missouri Road Removal Act

SB 173 Selling Central and Northern Pennsylvania to Russia Act

HB 211 Put Los Angeles County in Texas Act
SB 223 Establishment of Rural Occupation Zones Act

How about US Code 3312-8 Republican Removal Act?

We can name the state of Oklahoma "Republican Territory".

I want a long and extensive investigation by Congress into the Capitol Police’s preparation for and handling of this crisis. Anyone who aided and abetted the terrorists should be tried accordingly by the Department of Justice.

In addition, there needs to be an extensive investigation as to how such a massively and thoroughly planned out widespread operation went apparently completely unnoticed by the FBI and other domestic intelligence agencies. Yeah, we know the Trump Administration has fuzzy bear mentality of cutting the proud boys who like him but going after mean scary antifa and BLM, but at the sub director level they're certainly significant resources watching far-right paramilitaries, and it's such an operation could be planned without the feds catching wind of it is a massive intelligence failure.

Does Hawley realize that he is never going to be president. He got to know that right?

No, he really really thinks it's gonna happen even though he's unlikable, out of touch, and literally looks like a neanderthal.

Hawley is actually very intelligent with a strong Educational resume, and he has the youth and looks that are advantages. But after watching clips of him at rallies during his Senate Election- I have definitely thought he completely lacks the necessary charisma or ability to command a crowd needed to ever have a shot at getting the nomination.  (he lacks even an once of charisma (esp in front of a crowd or campaign rally).

His only remote possibility was being picked as someone's running mate... which now is likely off the table imo.  Haley's stock as a potential VP pick probably went up today (as she & Hawley may have competed for being picked as a runningmate for some potential nominees).

Embarrassed to be represented by Hyde-Smith.

This bears repeating. Ugh.

The Senate is immediately voting on the PA objection while the House will spend the whole two hours debating.

Sure, as long as the Native Americans can officially take over the eastern half.

How the f#ck are the Capitol Police letting this happen?!?

Seriously? The off-duty police are probably part of the mob. They're simply letting their buddies in.

He is too phony and the people get a sense of that. It is the same problem Cruz has. People hate disingenuous people. It is the the one trait that transcends both the left and the right. Trump stupidity and bigotry is authentic. It is the main reason why he was able to hijack the party, Hawley (and Cruz) just don't have it in them.

Rural people can look good too to be “average”. The dominant standards of the city ain’t all it.

I think he's currently the youngest Senator (youth), and I'm sure there are many people that find him somewhat attractive (especially for a politician- granted, not much to competition).

Pretty exciting that Republicans are soon going to be irrelevant in the House and Senate.  These people don't deserve any positions of power.

Well Ossoff is about to get all the youthful senator simps so I guess Hawley better enjoy the last of his time in the sun.

I guess we have officially NOT had a peaceful transition of power given that someone literally died in the Capitol today.

Breaks a 200+ year streak of bloodless presidential elections, not counting the Civil War (even then the elections themselves went smoother).

Trump is a narcissist who above all else wants to be remembered. Well, he will be remembered for generations as the hands down worst president of all-time.
