What a disgraceful day for America. What a disgraceful president and people who support him.

Every single Trump supporter:

Fuzzy Bear, Sanchez, even sensible folks like Buzz.

This is your fault.  You are to blame.

No. He's right. How did people think this was gonna end?

Stop

They dont support these rioters so blaming them for something they dont support is ridiculous
Fuzzy probably does though

I understand this isn’t really important right now, but how in the hell is security this lax in literally the most important building to protect in the entire country in a country with a $4 trillion GDP that fancies itself to be the greatest in the world? Especially on a day when they knew there was going to be unrest? My local Wal-Mart was more prepared to handle potential BLM related riots than the Capitol was for this. The first bipartisan hearings in the 117th Congress should be whoever is responsible for keeping the Capitol secure. I want answers. I also want answers from the Pentagon and the Secret Service.

Until today, this kind of thing was unthinkable in America.

Did you not see Seattle this summer?

The US Capitol is in Seattle?

It's all over right wing social media that the people who stormed the Capitol were actually Antifa provocateurs. So don't expect any soul-searching or introspection out of the vast majority of them. They'll see on this "information" and believe it.

Saw on PBS that as of now, Republicans still plan to object to Georgia and Pennsylvania tomorrow. Might get a repeat scene...

Who are the "big names" supporting impeachment?

I would assume everyone who supported it a year ago. Petersen and Gabbard are gone, so it would be unanimous from Democrats.

Romney + 17 Republican senators is what it would take to remove him. It seems plausible, but I haven't seen any list or evidence.

She's trash.  Can NY gerrymander this worthless moron into oblivion?

I've lost all respect for Stefanik. Ever since the impeachment hearings, she's been a Trump lackey.

Crazy how she used to be a rising star with bipartisan appeal. Like so many others, she threw it all away and debased herself for a president who almost certainly doesn't know or care what her name is.

Dear Senators,

Nice speech. Well written. Bravo. Maybe just tweet it out though. You don't need to use up all five minutes. Certify the results.

Thanks

Doesn't the law require 2 hours of debate before voting to certify?

While I applaud the cabinet if they actually do it, I believe Trump can quickly fight it and restore his presidency. Impeachment is the only way, but this way at least lets Republican senators test the waters before comitting.

McDaniel would've been much better.

He would have been leading the charge on this, harder than Cruz and Hawley.

Is this sufficient to prosecute "Q" ? The 8-Chan owners know who he is, or at least can be compelled to give IP address information.

He's trying to purge his cabinet to avoid the 25th amendment. Impeach him today!

I've seen reports that four people have died but the only person I'm aware of is the air force veteran from California that was shot.  Does anyone know anything about who the other three were?

They died from medical emergencies, probably heart attacks or something. Their names haven't been released yet probably since the families are still being notified.

I have heard reports, but don't know how reliable they are, that the other three were:

1. Fell off the Capitol steps and hit their head.
2. Heart attack after a flash-bang went off close to them.
3. Heart attack after accidentally self-tasing.

The owners of 8chan, as well as Q if he's not one of them, should be facing 4 murder charges.

And there it is folks, BUT BLM/ANTIFA!

Yeah, you deleted all the posts yesterday about it.  One doesn't forgive the other, but the 100 days of the Siege of Portland, the CHAZ, etc were all more violent than this event.  It just hit "closer to home" for some.  I moved here from the Twin Cities due to people burning down many city blocks of businesses and homes.

Absurd. The attempted violent overturning of a presidential election, stoked by the president himself, is many orders of magnitude worse than the terrible violence that came as an unfortunate side effect over the summer.

Imagine thinking a block party is comparable to an attempted coup.

Imagine thinking a "block party" involves "four shootings, two deaths, arson, and several alleged sexual assaults."

So still not as bad as yesterday, even if you ignore the trying to overturn a presidential election and install a dictatorship aspect of it. To say nothing of their motivation of lynching Mike Pence.

Probably counterproductive to point out that she chose to keep Trump in office a year ago.
