The outstanding vote in PA are mail-in ballots.  And it's overwhelmingly Democratic--not only in the blue counties but all throughout the state.

Example: Luzerne County reported same day vote for Trump at 63%.  Will mail in ballots, numbers dropped to 56% Trump (he did 58% in 2016).  More important, Biden increased the percentage from 36 to 42%.

Biden has been receiving close to 80% of these votes statewide.  And he needs less than 2/3 of the remaining ballots to overtake Trump.

Bottom line--Biden will win PA, probably by 100,000 votes--in line with what we have seen with MI and WI.

I'm pro-Biden but I'm gonna go ahead and quote this because I've been up way too much since Tuesday

No.

So why did all of these states say they'd have results yesterday, or at least during the night, but I now wake up on Thursday and all of them are in the same place they were at midnight?

Because the United States is a broken democracy.

You did the right thing by going to sleep.  A good night's rest does wonders.  Looks like the vote counters largely did the same thing.  I feel badly for those who were waiting for a big AZ vote drop at 130 AM ET today--and very little materialized.

For those just joining us, we are getting vote drops today from:

-- GA @ 11AM EST
-- NV @ 12PM EST
-- PA @ 12PM EST
-- AZ    Huh

Bob Casey (PA-SEN, D) was just on CNN and stated that there was some 400K outstanding ballots in PA (most from SEPA).  Biden trails Trump by around 140-150K votes.

Strap in, boys and girls.

The first thing on the new Congress' agenda should be a federal election law regulating all federal elections.

What's going on in Alaska and North Carolina?  I'd like to get the calls done that I actually feel good about before one of the others get called and it's officially over.

Good question, it’s a damn good thing I didn’t stay up like I was going too.

I took Wednesday off from work because of the election

AP said they won't call NC before more of the provisional and mail votes are counted. Alaska is bizarre, I think people just forgot it's there

Alaska is just a slow counting state but that’s 99.9% Trump and 97% Suillivan.

North Carolina won’t release numbers till next week because mail in ballots will continue to trickle in and while they have no clue how many. It would have to be an absolutely mind boggling amount to bring the Democrats even close.

Consistent with a "Biden by 100kish" narrative.

I'm really watching an ad for Alien Tape at 8am on Fox News in the middle of a digital college class waiting for these results.

Good morning. I'm surprised Bernie didn't say anything yet. He has to be disappointed that the WWC is still rightward.

This is absolute dangerous non-sense.  They are counting votes.  Why don't Republicans want votes to be counted?

The Republicans aren't acting like they share Atlas doomers' confidence about Pennsylvania.
