Its actually hilarious how Dems start trashing Cubans as greedy trash once they decide to swing one way after they nearly voted for Clinton in 2016.

there's like one person on here trashing Cubans.  most people just think Trump manipulated the situation in South Florida like the con man he is.  Bottom line is Miami Dade didn't do it alone.

Yeah, "BIDEN IS A COMMIE WHO'S GOING TO SELL OFF THE COUNTRY TO MADURO" is obviously a crock of crap, but believing it doesn't make you a bad person, just one susceptible to a certain type of fearmongering.

I mean one dem called them worms all the way down, and 3 people supported that, would have at least expected more people to call them out.

Maybe I get trashing rural deep southern white voters, they really aren't gonna vote for the Dems anyway, but these Cubans are absolutely winnable, they are very elastic and key for Dems to winning this state.

I missed that but I'm here to call them out. Not a good move.

Why not try winning them instead of trashing them?
That's what Joe Biden will try to do.

It is concerning that no one seems able to determine how many votes are left to count.

If they don't know how many votes are left to count despite polls being closed for more than a day, how can they possibly know whether the vote has been fair.

A little more of GA came in. Trump is now down to 49.6% (+26K votes). GA is still at 95% reporting with some parts of ATL missing more than 10%.
Is this good or bad?
It's great for Biden because there's at least a 16k net out of Fulton that's not been reported and at least 60k left to count in Gwinett and DeKalb. Biden is going to win Georgia at this rate by 10k to 30k.

Yaaaa they should be required to release vote totals on election night everywhere then, if they allow late-arriving mail ballots, release how many came in to each precinct on each day. It’s crazy that this isn’t standardized.

Biden will probably do better with them in 2024 if he's running as an incumbent for a second term. Cubanos tend to swing towards the incumbent.

Republican officials are largely to blame for this in Pennsylvania, at least. Ballots were accepted but not allowed to be processed (and counted) until yesterday. The party you support is at fault here.

Probably doesn't include Fulton net of 16k for Biden because the Fulton website uploaders went home for the night.

I hope you’re right and not being too optimistic. Blorgia happening would redeem this election. I’d love to see some of the trashy Trump supporters from my home county, Cherokee County, have an epic meltdown on social media when their state goes blue

Biden probably does better in Pennsylvania than Wisconsin and Michigan.

Every instinct everyone had about this election was wrong, wow.

Hot take: in the end, COVID changed next to nothing.

Agreed. The pandemic only intensified partisan polarization and deepened the loyalty of Trump's base to him, while increasing the determination of the Democratic base to get him out. It's clear from these election results that this country is split virtually 50/50 between those who despise Trump and those who support him.

If by "50-50" you mean something like ~53ish-47ish, give or take, then you would be correct. In other words, one side of this polarized split is measurably bigger than the other.

I'd be mostly OK with something like all non-election day votes* coming in and being counted beforehand. But for that to work, you need to actually have the votes come and be counted; it was principally Rs stopped that from becoming a reality.
*=exception to be made for foreign absentees and military ballots.

It's also a lot harder to say "Biden is literally the second coming of Fidel Castro" when 4 years of a Biden administration have come and gone and we haven't joined ALBA yet. If I were Biden, I'd just do what I did in 2020 in Florida in 2024 and hope for the W.

This is another factor.  Hispanics seem a little less interested in politics across the board and I think name recognition is a huge factor.  It really helped Hillary.  I don't think many of the hispanics that shifted are enamored with Trump or even like his policies, they just didn't know Biden that much.  Campaigning during a pandemic wasn't easy.

Most people wanted to vote against Trump.  Hispanics seem less inclined to just vote against someone.

Yes, and remember that this is BY DESIGN. Republicans did not want mail in ballots to be counted on election night and hence did not allow for the pre-processing of VBM before election day in MI/PA/WI. They absolutely planned for the red mirage so they could throw doubt on the legitimacy of VBM being counted after election day. This has been telegraphed for months and yet the Trumpists still think that this is legit.

Good for Biden. So long as this keeps up, he is on track to flip the state.
