Admittedly I am ignorant of Israeli domestic issues, but man, I am very very surprised Israel's incredible vaccine rollout didn't help bibi all that much.

It seems to me (and I could be wrong here) that roughly half the country hates Bibi and there is nothing that he could do to change their mind. The other half, while not in love with him (although he does have his cultists), see him as the only individual possible that could be Prime Minister and this is why there hasn't been a conclusive election result since 2015.

Is it a coincidence that the parties with Arab and Druze representatives in high spots (Meretz, Yesh Atid and Labor) are all predicted to make large gains? A lot of missed opportunities not tapping in to that community tbh.

By the way, Channel 11 now projects Ra'am may pass the threshold LOL.

Kan 11 projects the Anti-Bibi bloc at 60 and Bibi's bloc at 53. But based on the results counted so far, it's still to early to project if Yair Lapid has a real shot to be PM. But, one thing is certain, Netanyahu's gamble failed.

I calculate that it adds up to 98.48 (the rest going to minor parties that I didn't bother writing).

You do know Ra'am prefers Bibi to Lapid et al. and is willing to go into government with him, right?

Something to note: Likud is getting non-negligible percentages in the Arab towns. Its most notable in Rahat, Fureidis, Zarzir, and the towns north of Kiryat Tiv'on. Likud's ad campaign had a effect. HOWEVER. In most cases it appears that the percentage Likud is receiving is similar to the percentage of voters who didn't vote Joint List during their triumph of 2020. So it appears Likud flipped the Arabs who already voted from Jewish parties, and then former JL Arabs moves towards the Secular left as a reaction to this campaign or maybe to give a majority to a govt that would help them pandemic-wise.

Ra'am has said it will NOT support a govt with the Kahanists, and vice versa, so that option is mathematically off the table. Doesn't matter.
