This is going to end up with another election in September, isn't it?

This scenario, literally impossible, was polled:

Still interesting, though.

Rumours Bibi bloc with Yamina is 61.

Also it seems Labour might be on the edge.

Also it seems that only Likud and YA in double figures

That doesn't seem a very clear majority for Bibi. Rumours seem to be contradictory.

I thought you guys said the results were shocking?

Einstein never said this, of course, but it sums up really well this election:
"The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over and expect different results."

By the way, Channel 11 now projects Ra'am may pass the threshold LOL.

Kan 11 projects the Anti-Bibi bloc at 60 and Bibi's bloc at 53. But based on the results counted so far, it's still to early to project if Yair Lapid has a real shot to be PM. But, one thing is certain, Netanyahu's gamble failed.

This fiasco today is incredibly insane. There's a spin within a spin on a spin.

The Likud Party is basically a crime family at this point, and I'd be happy to see a military coup.

What happened?

Bibi completed a royal cave-in, after realizing the SC will admonish him on live television and say the rotation agreement is in full force, Bibi backs down and agrees to the appointment of Gantz as Minister of Justice.

His days are numbered

Jesus. The coalition deal being a legal document for Likud is hilarious. It's obvious that until a new cabinet is sworn in, everything is done by the what was agreed in the previous government, thus the term interim.

He's toasted but who's next in line to be PM? From what I read, Lapid is a bit stuck too.

Ministries that look like a done deal:
Bennet- PM
Lapid- Foreign
Lieberman- Finance
Karin Elharar (YA)- Communications
Zandberg (Meretz)- Environmental Protection

Pretty sure that Defense for Gantz, Justice for Sa'ar, Education for Shasha Biton and Home for Shaked is very, very likely too, but you never know.

Didn't Lapid get the mandate from the President to be PM?

Yeah, but it'll probably be a rotation with Bennet for 2 years and Lapid for the next 2.

Oh, right, the agreement will be similar with those in the 80's between Likud and Alignment.

Rumours Lapid will announce the government on Monday

Will it be, or is expected to be, a rotation government between Lapid and Bennett or a full term Lapid led cabinet?

So, it's done. But, nothing is 100% certain until next week's confidence vote, right?

Is that a promise?

Yeah, no doubt, if Netanyahu is forced out of office, Keir Starmer's Labour will start leading the polls by 20% and Boris will be gone. No doubt.

But seriously, this guy thinks very highly of himself. Jesus!

You do realize that pages upon pages of discussion on this have been almost the entirety of this thread for several months, right?

To be fair, he originally posted that on the International General Discussion forum, then it was merged with this thread.
