You gotta get out of the Lower 48. Tongue

Have you been to Guam or Puerto Rico? I highly recommend both!

Blue are residences.  Light green are states I've visited.  Dark green are states I've been to at least a dozen times or more (close friends, family, summer residences, etc.).

There are no states where I've only had an airport stop/drove through.  Every state in green I've deliberately stopped at, for at least a day or more.

The only states I haven't been to are AK and ND.

As far as international travel... I've traveled pretty extensively in Europe and Asia.  Been to almost every country in Europe (including living there for about 5 years) and most large metro areas in East, South, and SE Asia.

South/Central America and Africa are my weak spots.  Very limited travel in S/C America and none in Africa.

Red = Been in an airport, but never set foot outside.

I've been to ATL and JFK on my way to and from France.

New York, Florida, California, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi. Possibly a couple of others in the northeast when I visited NY but I was 3 years old at the time so would have to ask my parents.

Red = Lived in
90% Blue = Visited to more than 10 times
70% Blue = Visited to 5-9 times
40% Blue = Visited to 3-4 times
30% Blue = Visited 1-2 times
Green = Driven through/stopped in briefly

I have also been to the airport in New York (which I did not count), and I will be adding Nevada to the 30% Blue category in May.  Florida and Nebraska will also move into the 70% Blue category after this February and April, respectively.  Here are the specific numbers:

Illinois - Lived in (Peoria), been back way too many times to count (mostly Kewanee, Peoria, Chicago or Champaign)
Iowa - Live in currently (Iowa City)
Wisconsin - Been way too many times to count (mostly to Door County, Milwaukee and Madison)
Indiana - Been about 10 times now, mostly to visit my sister but once for the Big Ten Championship Game and this New Year's Eve we are making a roadtrip there (Indianapolis, once Carmel)
Florida - Sanibel, Orlando (x2), Naples ... going to add Key Largo in February
Nebraska - Mostly Omaha, one trip to Lincoln ... will be going back in April (Lincoln) for a wedding, so it will move into the 70% Blue category (I think)
Kansas - A few soccer tournaments in Olethe and Overland Park, one trip to Lawrence for a college visit
Missouri - One trip to Kansas City and a few to St. Louis
Colorado - Two vacations to Estes Park (also went to Fort Collins one day)
Virginia - Two trips to see my aunt (Annandale)
Tennessee - Soccer tournament in Memphis and visiting my friend at Vanderbilt in Nashville
Ohio - One trip to Cincinnati when we almost moved there
Michigan - One trip to Frankenmuth
North Carolina - One trip to Charlotte
Pennsylvania - One day and night stranded in the rain in Philadelphia (thought that place was sunny)
Kentucky - Drove through and stopped on the way to Nashville
Wyoming - Drove through and stopped on the way back from Colorado

Most of the traveling I have been lucky enough to do has been either in the Caribbean or in Europe ... five random trips I would like to make in the next 5 years are:

- California (Wine Country or San Diego)
- Texas (Dallas or Austin)
- Louisiana (New Orleans)
- Massachusetts (Boston)
- Kentucky (Louisville, Kentucky Derby)
