No way this ends poorly at all...
January 6 Part II. Lord help this country.

No civil war will be good. But if the GOP elects to start the civil war it has been threatening for years, over... <checks notes> the head of a criminal organization facing trial for lying about bribing the sex-worker he cheated on his third wife with, that would be the weakest possible rationale for terrorism, ever.

Trump's alleged acts are different from one another, and they occurred at widely distant times. But it's just coincidence or good timing that the investigations and charges happen at the same time, right after he announced his candidacy, in a manner that allows the Dems to pile on?

Nope, that's not a coincidence either.

Trump announced his candidacy early because he knew he was at grave legal jeopardy for his numerous crimes and is hoping that being a candidate for President will help him to avoid successful prosecution, or alternatively would eventually lead to pardon(s), due to the general hesitancy of the legal system to prosecute a President or former President.

DOJ reportedly 'irritated' by Manhattan DA's decision to indict Trump because they believe hush money charges are weak and could damage more serious Georgia electoral fraud and January 6 probes'

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11922971/Justice-Department-irritated-Manhattan-DAs-indictment-Donald-Trump.html

Yeah, that sounds like a bunch of BS. Each case has no bearing on the other, and whether or not one case is stronger than another doesn't affect anything. The Georgia and 1/6 probes are their own things, they will proceed with or without an indictment on this issue.

Yeah I don't know why so many people, including a lot on the left, are saying stuff like "Democrats are fools for doing the NY charges first"... what does that even mean? The DOJ, Georgia, and NY aren't coordinating stuff lol, the investigations have nothing to do with each other.

It's impossible for Trump cultists to imagine that not everyone is as corrupt as their leader.

And also, regarding the timing of this present investigation in New York, that is definitely not a coincidence either.

The reason why it didn't occur already several years ago (and on the Federal level) is because Trump was President at the time, and he appointed Barr as Attorney General, and Barr directly interfered in the investigation and ordered that it be dropped, on the grounds that Trump was President.

So it is no coincidence that this only began to be pursued again recently, after Trump was no longer President, instead it is a direct result of Trump's attempts to use his power as President to obstruct justice with Barr's help.

You're niave if you believe the bolded.

Even Democrat Andrew Cuomo said: "It’s a coincidence that Bragg goes after Trump and Tish James goes after Trump and Georgia goes after Trump? That’s all a coincidence? I think it feeds the cynicism and that’s the cancer in our body politic right now."
As if anyone cares about the opinion of Andrew Cuomo.

Republicans while trump is POTUS ... "You can not indict trump while he is president."

Republicans when trump in no longer POTUS ... "Why are all these jurisdictions now charging trump, when he is no longer president, and now running for office again. It's an outrage!"

No, it's not a coincidence, but that's simply because Trump is a multijurisdictional criminal.  This argument is as silly as saying it's something coordinated if multiple states prosecute a bank robber who robbed banks in each of them.

What's silly is that analogy. A bank robber who robbed banks in each state could get prosecuted by multiple states at the same time because the act is the same or similar: bank robberies. Trump's alleged acts are different from one another, and they occurred at widely distant times. But it's just coincidence or good timing that the investigations and charges happen at the same time, right after he announced his candidacy, in a manner that allows the Dems to pile on?

You already call the guy a multijurisdictional criminal. Obviously your take means little

Huh?  ALL of these investigations started well before Trump announced his candidacy.

Bill Barr (who has actually criticized Trump since leaving office, especially in his book) has now bashed Bragg's indictment case:

Former US Attorney General Bill Barr said Friday that the indictment against Donald Trump is “pathetically weak” and a “political hit job.”

Speaking at a National Review Institute Ideas Summit in Washington, D.C., Barr – who served as Attorney General under Trump from 2019 through 2020 – said it was “the archetypal abuse of the prosecutorial function to engage in a political hit job…legally, it's a pathetically weak case."

Trump, 76, was indicted by the Manhattan DA on Thursday evening on multiple counts of fraud reportedly stemming from a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

"It's a very weak case just on the misdemeanor. And on the federal issue, they've gotten the statute completely wrong in my mind,” Barr continued.

Barr also noted that he does not believe the $130,000 payout to Daniels’ was actually “hush money.”

"[The payment] wasn't done because of the election; it was done to protect Trump's reputation,” he reasoned.

The guy was given important speaking slots at the DNC more than once, he was elected to governor by massive margins even by NY standards, his Covid-press conferences got aired by major national networks in 2020, people speculated that he might be a VP choice for a Dem candidate

He was a Dem golden boy until Liticia James' harassment probe

Nah. I don't agree with this.
But what is clear, is the "golden boy" to Republicans for the last 8 years.
How is your golden boy doing right now?

Citing Andrew Cuomo as a reason Democrats shouldn't support prosecuting Trump for criminal wrongdoing will be about as effective as citing Liz Cheney or Joe Walsh as a reason Republicans should support prosecuting him.

CNN is still the only outlet reporting 30+ charges. I think we should treat this cautiously.

This in not what I am seeing.

NBC ... "Trump faces about 30 counts in New York grand jury indictment"
NYT ... "Mr. Trump faces more than two dozen counts, according to two people familiar with the matter."

But there are many outlets that are careful reporting the number of charges. This is true.

Not knowing how to spell people's names makes your already weak argument weaker. Cuomo lost favor because of sexual harassment allegations, not because of anything he said about investigating Trump.

Also worth noting that Republicans would never have abandoned Cuomo after these allegations came out. The Democrats dennounced him very quickly, from the state's entire congressional delegation to the sitting president.

Eric Schneiderman was out in a matter of hours when his scandal broke. The Republicans would have called this a witch hunt and attacked the woman that credibly accused him of violence.
