When's the last time a Democrat won every municipality in Milwaukee county? Seems like there's still room for Dems to improve there, in addition to WOW, obviously.

In a partisan election, probably Herb Kohl in 2006. In a non-partisan election, Evers probably did in his last state in 2017 as he got 70% of the statewide vote.

Oral arguments are set to start in the Dane circuit court to overturn the ghoulish abortion ban on Thursday.

Republican assembly bill will strip all sales tax funding from Milwaukee. State and county asked for a slight raise, they discussed a tiny amount while letting rural areas get a 900% increase. Terrorist c**nts.

Can't Evers just veto that?

I'm guessing it's in some omnibus bill full of a bunch of other things that it would be important to pass. Although the Governor of Wisconsin has the most powerful line-item veto power of any state in the country. So presumably Evers could just cut that out and pass the remainder of it.

Ah yes, all the terrible strings attached in this bill, can’t use it for anything that terrorists think is a waste of money.

If Clarke runs it’ll be a bloodbath, he’ll throw a bigger tantrum than trump.

Baldwin will beat Clarke just like she beat Tommy Thompson in 2012, better than Kleefisch or Gallagher, Clarke is another Clarence Thomas

I already forgot WI doesn't have term limits. He might be the best Dem to keep the seat, though it might be more difficult in a 2nd Biden midterm unless the GOP nominates another weirdo.

Even in a Biden midterm, why would Dems want to give up an incumbency advantage?

He's probably absolutely dreaming of a potential term in office where the legislature isn't under a republican gerrymander. If the WI supreme court strikes down the gerrymander, as pretty much everyone expects them to now that D's have a majority, I can definitely see him running again so he can have a chance at enacting his agenda and not just vetoing republican craziness.

Jim Doyle clearly had a reason to.

A Conservative will remain the Chief Justice until 2025 as the 2 year term started earlier in the year.
