Question for our resident lawyers: with the understanding that juries are unpredictable, what's your sense of the trial so far?  Would you rather be the prosecution or the defense at this point?

Georgia is the only state that was remotely close in 2020 where blacks make up a clear majority of Democratic voters. So it would take only a small change in the black vote to flip the state all else being equal. I would look for it most in somewhat integrated areas with a lot of young people.

Could this also make GA-02 in play?

interesting story.  Don't ask one question as a title and another very different question as the poll question.  It's confusing.

The title question is more open ended while the inside question is just to see if people can tell she's some sort of agent.

What happened in 1996:
A clear favorite
A lame GOP candidate
A Dem candidate that wasn't appealing to progressives
Not much difference between the candidates' platforms
Lack of foreing policy issue that used to motivate people's fears.
Protectionist apathy?

Oddly enough, Biden is getting more Trump 2020 voters than Trump is getting Biden 2020. Turns out barely any Biden 2020 voters are defecting - any of Trump's strength once again comes from - you guessed it - 2020 non-voters

Biden 2020 voters:
Biden 85%
Trump 4%
Not sure/don’t know 6%
Would not vote 3%

Trump 2020 voters:
Trump 69%
Biden 22%
Not sure/don’t know 7%
Would not vote 1%

Did not vote in 2020
Biden 38%
Trump 19%
Not sure/don’t know 16%
Would not vote 23%

22% seems hard to believe tbh

It's also a small sample size obv (like n=150) so that could also play a role.

Bigger thing for me is the Biden sample is obv huge (like 1130) and there is little defection to Trump going on.
Fair but I still have my doubts that many voters flip

If anyone ever wanted to stop farm subsidies they could just start calling it “Farmers Socialism” and most small, rural farmers would give it up and have their farms collapse over accepting they need the government to survive.

This isn’t who gets farm subsidies.
or who pushed for them in the first place or who wants to keep them around today, but it sure does make protectionism more palatable to the voter if they can tell themselves it helps the small family farm.  They don't actually care if it does or not.

The ICC is antisemitic. Bernie Sanders is antisemitic. Everyone is antisemitic.

I hate Netanyahu and the last 20 years of Israeli leadership, but I will defend his bloodthirsty policies because not defending Israel is antisemitic.

Imagine actually believing anyone in this thread said anything like this Roll Eyes

Yes, you do.

No, I didn’t, but thanks for playing Smiley

You have called anyone who disagrees with you antisemitist.

You have called

Rashida Tlaib
Jeremy Corbyn
the state of Belgium
International Criminal Court
Amnesty International
The user PSOL
amongst several others

antisemitist.

It's the only word you can use for defense whenever someone rightfully accuses Israel of commiting war crimes. And you continue to call for people to ignore international organisations and institutions and to attempt to delegitimize them.

No, I haven’t lol.  I haven’t even called everyone on your list anti-Semitic.  I don’t believe I’ve called the ICC anti-Semitic (stupid, useless, and acting in bad-faith, sure; I won’t deny having a low opinion of the ICC in general, but that long predates the current Gaza conflict) nor the nation of Belgium.  The others on your list are anti-Semitic to one degree or another anti-Semitic.

The point is people like you and Ray use the term far too broadly, and operate with a guilty until proven innocent mindset when anything involving Israel comes up.

That must be why I’ve repeatedly argued that Israel has been committing crimes against humanity in the West Bank for over a decade.

Objecting to the photo seems like something of an own goal by the defense? Now it's a big deal, and a witness is going to have to testify about it. Again, I'm no lawyer, but "we're really trying to keep this piece of evidence out" has to be a bad look.
