I was curious enough to go googling, and apparently it's the King James Version with patriotic wrapping on the cover. As someone raised Southern Baptist, this is deeply embarrassing.

Product link for the curious: https://leegreenwood.com/product/god-bless-the-usa-bible/

The price is $59.99... which is 666S$ upside down.

Apparently Canada's population hit 41 million yesterday just 9 months after reaching 40 million.

I agree with those who say that this and not the carbon tax are why the Liberals will lose in 2025. It's not even just that Canada can not absorb this number of people in this period of time, but that for a long time the Liberals showed no interest or even understanding of the need to coordinate the population increase with the municipalities and the provinces. This is just basic incompetence.

I can't stand Poilievre or the Conservatives, but I can certainly appreciate the desire to fire a government that demonstrates basic incompetence.

Competence - or rather the lack of it - is sometimes underrated as a factor in big electoral swings; see the UK currently for another pertinent example.

I suppose the OP is going to claim that Oxfam hates Israel and is pro Hamas.
they were selling The Elders of Zion on their bookstore website 4 years ago cite, but yeah, I'm sure they're ALL not bigots.

Or maybe they were - albeit misguided in this case - free speech absolutists?

We have had similar arguments for the last 80 years about Mein Kampf.

Honestly I fail to see how the election of Sanders to the presidency stops the rise of MAGA fascism in the GOP, perhaps under a less self-defeating leader. It's just that the Democrats would've been ideologically radicalized as well.

Reactions from the media is that the new government is basically the "silver from the PSD house", although much better was near impossible due to the complicated political situation of Parliament. The mood remains that the government has low, if not zero, chances of lasting until the end of the year.

Party reactions: PSD and CDS, as expected, applauded the composition of the new government, while CHEGA critcized the government for having just "PSD people" and few independens and that it's too long. IL criticized the creation of a Youth ministry, but applauded the independents in the new cabinet. The PS says that the government "look like a regression" and will only creat instability. BE had the same tone saying the new government "smells like the past", while PCP pressed that the new government will not solve any problem. Livre criticized the fusion of some ministers and the lack of more civil society in cabinet. PAN applauded the new Youth minister but is worried with the inclusion of CDS in government warning of "setbacks in gender equality".
maybe if chega wasnt so toxic they could have been in cabinet too
It’s not even that they’re toxic, they also completely refused to play ball when the PSD came to them and apparently worked out some agreement before CHEGA just decided not to do it and deny the meeting happening despite previously talking about it.

Turns out when you're Fico's puppet for 2 decades, rotten enough for him to name you as a placeholder PM, then you break with him because the old man doesn't get out of the way for you and then promptly make up when you get a sniff of power...you might not be some great and honest savior.

Still hard to beat the BBC World Service tbh. Like the rest of their news output it has dumbed down a bit, but nowhere near as much as its domestic service.
