Well, Fluffy is a mean-spirited and universally-disliked person, so you can strike him off. Mint is assured victory, so you can take him off too. Voilà, you have five.

But since Mint is already assured victory there are only four seats for those five people. Tongue

Hiliol means racist. Vepres is French for vespers, vespers are an evening prayer, Hell and Pollution are generic boundary write-ins... and while Lord of Sexual Violence isn't quite right it reads funnier than a proper translation Grin

I fail to understand how Mint did receive a so broad cross-party support.

Because he appeals to both conservatives and libertarians.

I fail to understand how Mint did receive a so broad cross-party support.

Because zombies and trolls are not limited to any one party.

EDIT: It should also be noted that DC_united doesn't have any sort of consistent ideology in her voting. She is not a JCP member in any reasonable definition. Nor is phknrocket, who is a troll and not liberal at all. Winston Disraeli is formerly ARC. And azmagic is a zombie.

Mint received cross party support because Hamilton was able to actve his zombie and inactive voter base that he still had from his RPP days, along with a few voters who just don't care. It's really not hard to see that. In fact, it was foolish on any of our parts not to believe that would happen.

Just out of curiosity- how many of Mint's voters would be invalid, if the Higher Authority in Ethics for Voting was in effect now?

So in other words, he'd have still been elected, but on the third preference.

Fifth, I am not aware of Mint being so pro-union at all. So if that's the case, I obviously wasn't lying, but am ignorant instead (Ha! Showed you, huh?) Grin Seriously, I would be THRILLED to learn Mint is heavily pro-union and that would indeed make me look at him in a whole new light. But instead of just throwing a hissy fit, why not include a link or quote from him and just educate me? If I'm missing something here I want to be the first to know about it rather than continue being incorrect.

I'm more pro union than some people here, including some 'center leftists' (Hashemite comes to mind). Not extremely so or anything, but definitely middle of the road on that issue. If you're genuinely curious about where I stand on things and not just trying to do personal attacks you can just ask. I have no problem with agreeing to an interview, questionnaire, anything.

First off, Mint, I am indeed happy to learn that you're generally pro-union. It's a bit of a pleasant surprise as you've generally campaigned as a a staunch economic conservative, but undeniably pleasant.

Your accusation of "personal attacks", Mint, is simply incorrect and, thus, unfair. Every critique I made of your positions on the issues were exactly that---100% policy distinctions and 0% personal. Heck, I even went out of my way to (truthfully) note that I think you're personally a good guy--which I still hold true regardless.

Hey, I know things can get heated in a campaign, but since it looks increasingly likely (fingerscrossed fingerscrossed fingerscrossed) that we'll be serving in the next Senate together, I wanted to clear the air and make sure you aren't mistakenly thinking I've made any personal attacks on you whatsoever. Closely review myu posts again and you'll see that's absolutely true.

Regardless, now knowing your generally favorable position on unions I'll be the first to say there's more to you than a generic anti-drug war isolationist conservative after all, and knowing that I'm sure we'll work together fine as (fingerscrossed) senators.

The problem is not Mint being elected, nor is it the ARC itself. It is the means by which Mint is being elected and the reputation the ARC continues to build for itself.

For the record, the HAEV does not currently have any guidelines ruling it and so would not necessarily eliminate anyone. It depends how the first HAEV forms itself and what the Senate can accept.

True. I simply saw everyone who I knew didn't contribute to the game.

I'm not sure what 'contributes to the game' even means, honestly. These are voters, it's not like they write legislation or anything. To me it just sounds like you guys are making arbitrary judgments. What makes someone like Badger's voters any 'better' than mine? Or any other candidates?

This isn't meant as a slam but what have jokerman, Rob, Sensei, Mart, CultureKing, Ogre Mage, realisticidealist, BRTD, Boris, xavier110, or Eraserhead contributed in the last six months that ARC members haven't? I'm not seeing it.

Well, in my opinion, a Zombie is someone who never runs for any office; never runs any kind of business (polling, news etc.); never hold office; and pretty much never contributes to debate.

Of course, I realize this applies to voters for any party, but the question was just about your voters. Smiley
