Um, you are aware that the RPP and ARC candidates have received pretty much the same number of votes, right?

Yes, I'm just sick that somebody as respectable as AHDuke is coming to DWTL's defense this strongly. He would be much better served with us.
But this trend is going to continue, the end of the RPP, if they keep on stomaching characters like DWTL, RowanBrandon, Yankee, and others like them.

The RPP is done with. It has been for quite some time. The question is not whether the RPP can return to strength, but what structure will replace it. Will the ARC absorb the bulk of its membership, with residuals in the LNF and DA? Will a new Atlasian right emerge?

Should be interesting over the next few months.

Many in the RPP will not join the ARC under any circumstances.

Many in the SDP will not join the JCP under any circumstances.

Except the JCP was a long established party that had more than three active members and zombies.
Oh really? If we are such a zombie party then explain why so far in my gubernatorial bid I have received the endorsements of the JCP and the DA? The truth has come out and you can't handle it.

Simply put we are endorsing the man fighting against moralf****try, rather than the one fighting for it Wink

If you understood the concrete economic differences between the two, I think you might actually be inclined to vote (if vote you could in the Midwest) for Mechaman based on actual agreement with him, rather than a lesser-of-two-evils vote.

I, for one, will be casting my gubernatorial vote for Vepres.  While I strongly disagree with him ideologically, he has done an outstanding job as our Governor, and has breathed new life into regional politics in the Midwest.  I would like to see him continue.

I have no idea how to do that. It's likely someone would not be able to make a chart before the polls close at this rate .. Tongue

It looks like, barring some final hour surge, the top 5 will survive. I'm not sure how STV works though, so I can't really be of much help there.

Like Duke said, there is nothing you can do to upset the top five.  So just rank your votes according to how you really feel, and don't worry about strategy.

What is your problem with people deciding for themselves that the ARC has the best candidate to offer?

As an RPP/Right-wing psephologist, I agree with the Senator's comments - it is highly unlikely any of the top five will be upset, so don't stress about the strategy too much.

Because that isn't the case at all, and you either know it, and you're just reading the talking points handed to you, or you're ignorant. It's no coincidence that former inactive members in the RPP are voting for Mint. I just wish they'd all just register in the ARC so Hamilton can stop claiming how much broad party support his guy is getting, but then he can't make that claim, so he won't. Crap like this is what makes it hard to warm up to your party.

Excuse me, maybe the people have been inactive until now because the old party system was not at all welcoming to them.

When two candidates are tied for first-preferences on the same count, how do they decide who gets the first seat & who gets the second seat? Total second-preferences?
