(from the center-left leftist DA majority which had dominated the Northeast for eons
The Democratic Alliance never had a majority in the Northeast, to my knowledge. And if they did, it was quite a while ago.

I guess holding every elected and appointed office in the Northeast not even a year ago wasn't domination?
That's simply because we had good candidates running who recieved support from other parties. But the Democratic Alliance never had a majority in the region.

The DA+leftists had a majority. The DA has always relied on the JCP's self-inactivity to prop itself up long after it was barely a presence.

Can you please just go away?

Congratulations. That was the biggest waste of space I've seen in a while.

Also, note: a party is either centre-left or leftist. Not both.

The DA control in the Northeast was based on the support of both Center-left and Leftist voters, which is what was the intended meaning of my comment.

Well he is a party Chairmen and a former President. It could be that his COH is residual cash from then. His fundraising of about $4 mill isn't that large compared to tmth or I.

Though there are other Senators have raised much more, they might be subject to contentious election challenges. Bgwah, on the other hand, is as safe as any elected official could possibly be.

A majority of my money has come from small donors, as well as payments from several politicans for designing signs. I'm hoping for a big paycheck soon from the Purple State/Marokai Blue ticket. Wink More money should also be coming in the future since I'm in the middle of a campaign.

That's nothing; y'all should see what I've raised for my run for the Assembly.  I have two full cycles where I didn't spend a dime, and it's nice.  I have one hell of a war-chest, I do.

Oh Fritz, you are such a tease. You know I don't take those kind of meds. Tongue

Its actually a very accurate statement of the truth. Everything that goes on here is fake. We have the GM to produce fake information in an organized way. Now mind you I am not criticizing that fact, after all it is a game, I am merely stating the facts of the matter to our newbie friend here.

                                          YANKEE SLAMS GPORTER IN DEBATE!!!
Incumbent Senator North Carolina Yankee (RPP-NC) facing a surprising tough race against Garrison Porter (JCP-TN) as evidenced by a recent NWA -Survey Atlasia poll and dogged by both attacks on his record as well as troubling statements made by the Senator late last week concerning the rights of cultist groups which he has since backed away from, hit his opponent hard in a debate moderated by the well regarded Franz L from Illinois.

In the debate Mr. Porter asserted that the Senator had voted to legalize drugs for minors and that he had opposed disaster relief for earthquake victims in Chile. The Senator did in fact vote no on disaster relief for Chile but claims that it was to draw attention to the extreme length of time in which it took the Senate to bring such a bill forward. The bill was sponsored by then Senator Tmthforu94 (DA-IN) who the Senator has so far avoided criticizing with regards to this manner. One could also question why in fact the Senator did not introduce the bill himself.

As to the first charge concerning drugs, the Senator pulled no punches, questioning  the judgment and integrity of his opponent for claiming he voted to legalize drugs for minors. A quick fact check reveals that Mr. Porter is in fact incorrect in his assertion. The bill he is referring to was called “The White Girl Bill” and was introduced by Senator Winston Disraeli (AWP-NH) back in March. The bill legalized the sale, manufacturing, production, and distribution of several hardcore drugs which are currently illegal such as Cocaine, Meth and Heroine. The bill included a clause however to make the purchase of these drugs by minors and selling of these drugs to minors illegal. Mr. Porter claims that by voting against this bill, Senator Yankee voted legalize the drugs for minors. This however is not true as by voting no, Senator Yankee, along with five other Senators, voted to preserve “current law” by voting no on the bill. Current law is that the production, sale, manufacturing and distribution of those said drugs is illegal as such Senator Yankee voted to keep those drugs illegal not to legalize them for minors. Mr. Porter however continues to assert that the Senator did in fact vote to legalize those drugs for minors. At one point the Senator asked his opponent if there was a bill introduced into the Senate that legalized Murder but contained a clause prohibiting it for minors which he subsequently voted no on, would he in fact be voting to allow minors to commit murder or to keep murder completely illegal?

A NWA Focus group has examined the debated and declared that the Senator has crushed Mr. Porter in the debate and online poll shows that the Senator won 72%-28%. We however will warn that such polls are not scientific and thus may not be accurate.

Other flash points occurred on issues such as fiscal conservatism, health care and death penalty. At one point, following an answer by the Senator to a question about game reform and activity levels, in which the Senator stated “The status quo is not only not good enough, it is entirely unacceptable”, Mr. Porter questioned how he could challenge the status quo when the Senator is the status quo. Following responses in which Mr. Porter stated his agreement with the Senator on Health care, and game reform, the Senator questioned how Mr. Porter could be the candidate of change when he agrees with the Senator on Game Reform, Activity, and Health Care.

NWA-Survey Atlasia will release a new poll in day or two we will get a good feel of where the race stands now. For right now NWA will leave its prediction of Weak RPP Hold in place.
