Speech Regarding the Position of Game Moderator

My fellow gamers,

Over the course of my term as President of this nation, I have found it difficult, neigh impossible, to keep one major promise that I made during the campaign. When asked repeatedly whether I could maintain the same level of activity by the GM as I had displayed during my time in the position, I answered time and time again that it would be done, that someone would step into the void and fill my shoes.

I was wrong and I apologize.

With Al's resignation as GM, I find my administration in a moment of mini-crisis. Though I have, over the past two months, sought to devolve certain powers and responsibilities from the less active GM, such as the monitoring of foreign events, it is not possible to actually make up for a woefully inactive GM. As such, the game has struggled to advance a coherent narrative that had started just a few months prior.

There is little else I can say on this matter. I have failed to uphold a standard of the utmost importance to the nation and to myself. And so now I announce an open application period for all those interested in picking up the mantle of GM where I laid it down just over two months ago. For now, please send a simple message of interest to me and I will follow up with each applicant individually.

At 4:00 PM this afternoon The National Weekly Atlasian filed a civil lawsuit against Barnes for breach of contract. The company is seeking to recoup $562,000 in salary payments made to the person in question under terms of a contract which were later not met during Barnes period of employement with the NWA.

For the record, I don't feel that the administration of the National Weekly Atlasian is mine to make. I abandoned it many months ago, so whoever squats it first can do what they want with it. However, since NCYankee squatted it long ago, he would technically have greater claim to it had he not renounced said claim.

I was referring to Al's leaving office without which your's would be useless wouldn't it.

We have a keen sense of public opinion and we crafted it in a way that pushed things a long. Though Al's resignation wasn't the intent it certainly achieved our objectives.

That reminds me, its time I start making Badger's life absolutely miserable.

My internal poll began on Wednesday and got buried over the weekend. Your Survey Atlasia poll was taken over the weekend, thus I have actually increased in support over the last several days to the extent that the movement wasn't statistical noise.
