Jesus christ

Just make it 1.95 bilion. What is 200 billion?

Congress passed 200 billion this Summer just to be more competive with China. With 200 billion we get paid leave and dental vouchers

So the only thing standing in the way of a vote today is Manchin/Sinema endorsing the bill.

Call me naive but I'm convinced progs would budge today at least if they got a "yes" from those two. The fact that they're both being silent is just... mindboggling

No. Sinema twitted this, though

Unclear, if Progressives endorsed, either.

AOC and her cult should just go back to writing watpadd stories and making picrews and let the adults deal with this

Funny how I can't find anything in your recent post history directing such sentiment at far less compromising legislators like Manchin and Sinema.

Hahahaha well I definitely do not like Manchin and Sinema, but I’m referring to infra here and they are our current block

Manchin and Sinema tho should just go retreat to some luxury yacht resort and live happily ever after while letting the adults do their job

If Sinema and Manchin ARE on board, then they should say so. But it's not clear if they are, or even clear what they want addiitonally if they aren't, which is extremely frustrating

The bottom line though is that this can't go on forever. Bernie has actually been great thru this process, but now even he's saying that more needs to be done to the bill to 'strengthen' it. We can't keep on toiling with this forever. You either agree with Biden's framework or not at this point because the text needs to start getting written.

This is the thing though - we can't keep rewriting the framework. We can't keep saying "oh we'll try and get this in the next few days, and this in the next few days..." That type of thinking will leave us to be in December without text still.

Progressives have supported the President's agenda every step of the way and yet it's their fault that the two Democratic Senators who continue to chip away at the bill are still hesitant to commit to supporting it? The deal was for both bills to move in tandem. If there's no deal to move BBB forward from Manchin and Sinema, there is no deal to move the BIF forward. Plain and simple.

No vote on the BIF until reconciliation passes. Period. End of story.

Which is ridiculous. We have the framework. If Manchin and Sinema say they're good with this and will vote, we have 50, we will vote on that next week (or this weekend?) but BIF is ready, so get it done now.
Because there is no reason to trust Manchin and Sinema.

Well consider me shocked that the legislative text is already finished.

Sinema and Manchin better give their thoughts ASAP so we can get this sh**t going.

That Manchin and Sinema have to say the are working in good faith every time they make a statement is a really bad sign.

To paraphrase, my ‘I am working in good faith’ t-shirt is raising allot of questions answered by my t-shirt.

So this is a million pages but not *the* legislative text? Are you kidding me? What other balls are up in the air - unless they're talking about revisions which I don't see happening.

I still think what is best for the GOP is for a bunch of House GOP members to approach Pelosi to say that they will make up the vote Progressive vote she will lose on BIF.
