NYT says McAdams has pulled ahead by about 1% right now. What do we expect from that?

So far later ballots have brought down the D margin in the state of Utah however all of the vote is in Utah county while SLC still has a few votes left to go. I would rather be Mcadams.

Utah County isn't done counting FWIW, NYTimes/AP estimates are very bad for this district - has shown >98% for Utah County yet they've added 14k votes (NYTimes is still missing about 5k votes in Utah County, further showing evidence towards the unreliability of their estimates). Possible there are still around 4k ballots remaining in Utah County.

My bad, I am being a bit lazy and didn't fully check. Thank you !

Meanwhile the AP has projected that fmr. Congressman Darrell Issa will be returning back to Congress this time representing the 50th Congressional District in CA...Pelosis & Bidens worst nightmare.

It really isn’t. They get to avoid obvious grifter Ammar Campa-Najjar and get another walking opportunity to portray GOP Representatives as corrupt elites. This is one of the least bad losses for House Democrats, along with Shalala’s seat.
This is such an hilariously bad argument from you. Pelosi is the one who is corrupt. Running as Speaker again, probably for the last time because in 2022 we will retire her once and for all. Her stubborness not wanting to make a Deal with the Administration when it comes to COVID-19 Relief Bill did cost her a lot of House Seats.

Yeah what Pelosi did with the COVID relief bill should be enough to get her booted from her speakership.  She should have passed what Mnuchin offered her (1.8 trillion).

That move might have won Biden the election though.

She should have thought about her caucus and House races as well as the welfare of the country before the Presidential election.  Now there might not even be a relief bill and Democrats lost a bunch of seats.

Isn’t this hypothetical predicated on a COVID relief bill passing in October?  If a relief bill was passed in October, there would have been a relief bill.

Republicans honestly kind of blew it too. They lowballed their expectations and failed to invest in easily winnable targets. They could have taken the house back if they were more bold.

This is honestly in the territory of doing so well that I wonder whether we would have flipped the House if we didn't kind of write it off.

It might have helped House Democrats but would have been much more likely to hurt than help Biden.

I'm not even sure it would have done that - it would depend on whether the people giving Trump credit for relief were prepared to split their tickets for the other folks responsible for the relief bill. Regardless, it should have happened anyway.

Because of Pelosi’s decision, Democrats will almost certainly lose the House in 2022 and not get it back until the next Republican President’s first midterm election.  The Senate is out of reach until at least 2028 and that likely requires a Republican Presidential victory in 2024 followed by a Dem Presidential victory in 2028.

If I were a Abigail Spanberger, Conor Lamb, or Ben McAdams, I’d vote against Pelosi as speaker.  Pelosi is a destructive force for Democrats.

Trump substantially outperformed McConnell, Hyde-Smith, Tuberville, Inhofe, Marshall, Daines, Risch, and the losing Republican nominees in Oregon, Virginia, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire. In turn, he ran behind Gardner, Lummis, Sasse, Rounds, Ronchetti, Cornyn, Cassidy, Perdue, Hagerty, and most importantly (and startlingly of all), the great Susan Collins.

VA-07
Spanberger (D, inc.) 50.9%
Freitas (R) 49.1%

The race has been called, but Luria leads by 5.4% in VA-02. And Good is up by only 5.3% in VA-05. Lastly, Warner leads by 11.6% statewide (Biden up by 9.6%).

McAdams looks done in UT-04, latest SLC votes are going for Owens.

NJ-07 will be super close, have to see how the election day provisionals shake out though I bet Kean wins in the end (AP blown call).

Republicans will win CA-48, CA-39, CA-21 and hold CA-25.

AZ-01 will be super close but O'Halleran should hold on if the number of votes outstanding is correct.

Brindisi actually has a non-negligible chance in NY-22 with the mail-ins uncounted but Tenney is still the heavy favorite.

Malliotakis has won NY-11 even if the AP hasn't called it.

Suozzi, Delgado, and Patrick-Maloney will be fine once the mail-ins are counted.

IA-02 is a tossup, just have to wait for the recount.

In the end, Republicans will probably pickup FL-26, FL-27, MN-07, NM-02, SC-01, NY-11, NY-22, IA-01, UT-04, OK-05, NJ-07, CA-21, CA-39, and CA-48. Democrats will gain NC-02, NC-06, and GA-07.

That's a Republican net gain of 11. Most unsure about NY-22, AZ-01, IA-02, NJ-07, and UT-04.

House looks to be 221-214.

LOL. So for all the talk about how awful Amy McGrath was, she actually outperformed Biden by the most out of them all. Not saying all that money should've been thrown her way but her campaign must've been a helluva lot better than people were giving credit for.

Meanwhile WTF Sara Gideon? "Concerned" Collins was a practical meme among liberals and they've been vowing to get rid of her after 2018 since before the Dems even had a challenger but it was all just one gigantic bubble lol.

Regarding Collins, everyone remember that without Savage that margin would have been significantly tighter. Still, yeah, what an embarrassment.
