97% in.  It's over and they should call it for Biden by now.

for alex.github.io, Trump is in the way for take AZ, he needs 56.8% and is averaging 59%

The math on his site assumes all provisionals will be counted.  When only about half usually are

Yup.  Trump may still have* a shot at AZ, but alex.github's numbers are a rough estimate.

While I do appreciate and enjoy the spectacle of people celebrating in the urban centers of this country, I'm also hoping that folks remember we are still in the middle of a public health crisis.

If going out and celebrating:  have a good time, be happy, but please please be safe, guys and girls.

Are Joe and Kamala still addressing the nation tonight?

Yes, it will start any time now.

I was also just thinking that, but they have masks on (or at least 80%).

Regardless, in 1-2 weeks time, there is no question we are heading for a new peak daily number in cases because of these celebrations.

Is this breaking a norm? I thought VPs don't usually give victory or concession speeches (Reason why Palin almost caused controversy). Granted this a good time to break a norm.

Pence spoke before Trump on election night 2016 (I believe), Cheney spoke before Bush in 2004.

Were 60k the provisionals?
If so Trump needs around 60%, is dangerously near

I was just watching Kamala take the lectern with the CNN caption "Sen. Kamala Harris (D) - Vice-President Elect" and thought about what it would have been like if that had fallen through a time warp and appeared on TV screens 50 years ago.  It would have been inconceivable to most people.

The problem for Trump is that Apache County has about 7k left to be tabulated, plus more provisionals, which will break heavily for Biden. Not sure what's happening in Pima or Santa Cruz, but those ballots will likely favor Biden as well. It will be close, though.

Per https://arizona.vote/ballot-progress.html, there are an estimated:

12,199 early ballots waiting for signature verification (must be completed by 5pm MST Tuesday).

45,507 provisionals left to process (not all of these will be accepted)

53,837 ballots ready for tabulation

Total: 111,543

The website has the county breakdowns for each of these categories if you want to see them, but I'm not going to copy them all.

Watching Kamala speak right now, I feel so much pride in my country. Because of us, she'll - starting January 20th - be the 1st person in our nation's history to have the honor of being addressed as "Madam Vice President." She's proof that we the people have the power to build a better future.

Just imagine how 1958 would've reacted to a headline saying "Sen. Barack Obama (D) - President-elect"

Not sure what to make of this, except that I really hope Maricop and Apache deliver.

I know this is pointless but how much vote is left in PA? I'm just curious for the final margin. I remember hearing 51-48 victory is likely

It started off bland, repetitive and boring IMO, but it picked up after 2 or 3 minutes and is pretty good now.

"The President-elect of the United States of America, Joe Biden!"

An epic culmination.
