NYT's site just updated NC for the 1st time in days. Went from 95 to 98%.

I'd post a link but I can't yet since I'm a newb.

They have better expectation of outstanding ballots now

Current vote difference in NC is 76,623. Seems like a pretty tall order for Biden, but not outright impossible. If these aren't looking like a surefire overwhelmingly pro-Biden sample, though, they can probably call it for Trump pretty soon.

For NC-Sen, looks like it's about 96,549. Hard to see Big Cal pulling off a miracle of that magnitude. Cry

It is August 2021. President Biden just had a gaffe where he calls AOC “that queens firecracker”. Meanwhile, John King is on air saying they can’t call Pennsylvania because the Trump team said Amish provisionals will be great for them.

Epic.

Nate Cohn (NYT):

Quote
There are still 102,000 mail ballots to be counted in Pennsylvania. Additionally, there are at least 100,000 provisional ballots issued on Tuesday that have yet to be counted.

Now, remember that not every single one of these provisional ballots will be accepted -- from my loose research, it appears that around 55-60% of provisionals are rejected (on average).

Philly is going to take "a few more days" according to NYT. I'm guessing that no one calls PA until Monday at this rate.

I think our best hope for a call tonight is if those Maricopa votes come in and are particularly bad for Trump, then they can safely call Nevada and acknowledge the AP call in Arizona.

And those ballot will with virtual certainty pad Biden’s lead.

In the words of Bill O'Reily, "DO IT LIVE!"

I love to see that on TV.

That would be great for ratings.

In the words of Bill O'Reily, "DO IT LIVE!"

Is this legit or a parody?

The article doesn't match the tweet. It claims the Biden team wouldn't be surprised if he has to be dragged out, but not that he has signaled to his allies that it will be necessary.

They're stretching the unverified tidbit that 'Trump won't concede' to its not-really-logical conclusion of Trump being physically forced from the White House. Cute image. Clickbaity fantasy however.

Nate Cohn: New ballots from Clark County (that’s Las Vegas) expanded Biden’s lead in Nevada. I am not aware of a reason to believe that Trump can overcome his deficit in the state.

William Tecumseh Sherman, Union general in the Civil War who believed in the strategy of “total war” against the Confederacy’s economic capacity, which led to him famously burning down and destroying large swathes of Georgia in his “March to the Sea”.

PA: Philadelphia Co: Biden +1880, Trump +384.  Northampton Co: Biden +744, Trump +282.  Washington Co: Biden +334, Trump +203.

Washington county is super trumpy. The way these late ballots are going makes it real clear. Call it for goodness sake!

Schumer should have recruited Jeff Jackson. I don't care that he recently had a baby. Heck, with COVID candidates (Democrats, anyway) ended up doing little campaigning anyway! Cal was always the backup candidate, but seemed like an okay generic white Democrat until he had an idiotic scandal and failed to address it once it became public. Cal refused to answer if there were more women (he didn't even give a typical political non answer, Cal straight up didn't respond to the question in a zoom call with reporters) and of course Republicans put that in ads. Jeff Jackson would have never underperformed Biden by 20,000 votes.

Martha McCallum was crying and feigning outrage over this with Jonathan Turley (the GOP's impeachment "scholar") earlier today.  Just in case there was any question whether Fox News was suddenly the good guys.  No, they still suck.
