Illinois has cancelled on the Buckeyes. Ohio State will now be ineligible for the Big Ten title game if either Michigan or Michigan State has to cancel one of their next two games. In other news, pressure mounting on Gretchen Whitmer to end all COVID restrictions.

Unlike Wisconsin, Ohio State probably can get into the playoff anyways, if they remain undefeated.

5-0 Ohio State with just a TD win at home over Indiana or 9-0 Northwestern with a conference championship, a win over Wisconsin and likely a win over Indiana on a neutral site. Hmmmmm.

5 win Ohio is probably no higher than 6.

Sorry to Justin Fields, the most talented QB in the game.

In that scenario, I think both Ohio State and Northwestern get in at the expense of the PAC-12 Champion, and a second SEC/ACC team.

It's funny how bad the 2 coaches who really pushed for the Big Ten to play (Scott Frost and Jim Harbaugh) are doing so horribly, maybe they should've kept the season cancelled after all eh Tongue

Well, for years people have been saying they play like girls.  Today it might be true. Wink

For all the hype about the first woman to play in a P5 game, we all overlooked the possibility that Vandy's offense won't get into field goal range

The most Vandy football thing ever is to have a player ready to make history but never give her a chance to score by never getting into field goal range (yes, I know she had a kickoff, but I wanted to see her have a chance to kick an extra point or field goal).

I was saying this all morning to temper my sister's lofty expectations. You just knew Vandy wouldn't allow her to be the first woman to score.

Naw, it could have been worse.  Something like this: she gets an attempt and makes the kick, but there's a penalty on Vandy that nullifies it and pushes them back a few yards.  On the second try, it's either blocked or the holder fumbles the snap and they don't get the kick off.

Syracuse, trailing 36-29, was deep in N.C. State territory with the clock winding down.  After being sacked, the Syracuse QB spiked the ball to stop the clock.  Unfortunately, he had overlooked that it was fourth down.  Oops.

Disgusting. The one time I need Ole Miss to lose, they win. Sad Sprouts knows that loss probably cost me $4k. (got the beautiful moneyline upsets of Sparty and USA)

So, with Northwestern's loss to Michigan State, it's now very possible the Big Ten gets passed over entirely (assuming Ohio State either is ineligible for the Big Ten Championship game, or loses in the Big Ten Championship Game) for the playoff in favor of a second SEC and a second ACC team.

So now that Washington won, I can share details of my Saturday CFB parlay.

Northwestern @ Michigan State: Michigan State (Moneyline 5.30)
Mississippi State @ Ole Miss: Mississippi State (Moneyline 3.35)
South Alabama @ Arkansas State: South Alabama (Moneyline 2.95)
North Texas @ UTSA: UTSA (Moneyline 1.76)
Utah @ Washington: Washington (Moneyline 1.35)

Total odds: 124.4 + 25% profit boost = 155.5

So. Disgusting.

The committee is absolutely going to put a 4-0 Ohio State with no championship whose second best win is Rutgers in the playoff. Because they can.

The only reason to do that is because Ohio State vs Alabama/Clemson/Notre Dame makes for good TV.

Florida State/Duke canceled, replaced with Miami (FL)/Duke

If we are allowed to change picks to account for the changed matchup for Duke, I'd like to change my pick to Miami (FL)
